This single drive enclosure for 2.5" SSDs/HDDs lets you utilize the USB-C port on your MacBook, Chromebook Pixel, Dell Latitude 11 5000 Series 2-in-1, or other device to add ultra-fast, ultra-portable data storage.
The enclosure's compact design and lightweight construction provides a highly portable solution for adding external data storage to any device with USB-C . It tucks easily into a laptop bag or carrying case for portable storage, and it's completely tool-free so you can install your drives quickly on the fly. The enclosure is powered directly from the USB port, with no external power required, so there's no need to carry along an adapter.
The drive enclosure comes with a USB-C to Micro B cable. The USB Type-C connector is small and reversible, which makes for easier insertions. You can connect the USB-C plug quickly with either side facing up, which means less risk of damaging your ports and less frustration.
With support for SATA I, II and III and large capacity drives (tested with hard drives up to 2TB), this USB-C enclosure is compatible with virtually any 2.5in. SATA hard drive or solid-state drive. The enclosure delivers USB 3.1 Gen 2 performance with data transfer speeds of up to 10Gbps, letting you leverage the high performance of the latest SSDs and hard drives while alleviating bottlenecks in your data transfers. The cable fit snugly into the enclosure and I had no issues with any cable movement. The unit does not require any tools to set up and I found that with my 2.5" Ssd it was a very very light setup which I love. For portability this enclosure was great due to the lightweight nature of the caseI would recommend this productI received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.

The few drives I tried with the enclosure fit snug and secure with the included foam tape. The added bonus of being tool-less is terrific and makes drive swaps quick and painless. This is definitely another great addition to my tech go bag. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.

I think a tool-less design is long overdue, and this one is well done, a quick slide of the top and you’re done. Fit quality inside the enclosure is good; there is an included piece of foam tape to keep the drive from moving, a 9mm HDD fits snugly but a 7mm SSD would rattle without it. Build quality is also good, it’s plastic so it’s light and portable, flex is minimal and the rubber feet keep it from moving on most surfaces. The included USB-C cable is 50cm long, again, a good length; a single coil and it fits in the same space as the enclosure does for easy transportation. Where I think this would transition to a ‘great’ product would be if you were buying/deploying a number of these for an office or project. The price point and speed of assembly would definitely tilt the scale!I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review

Rated 5 out of 5 byNo bueno from Disconnection issuesAfter I used this enclosure for a day or two, it is keeping disconnecting itself if i move the enclosure or my MacBook even slightly. I try to change the usb-c cable, but it keeps disconnecting it self. The only way to use this enclosure is to not move it or your computer.

Rated 5 out of 5 byNick_133 from Easy to use and fast!Simple to install drive, lightweight, and fast. All plastic, so doesn't dissipate heat as well as the metal enclosures. The cover stays put too (unless you drop it, on a hard surface, on the right corner--which I did--and the drive popped loose (SSD). Put it all back together and it just kept working. Being tool-free is great as I can carry this instead of an external drive dock, and swap drives in and out when doing remote site work. Rated 5 out of 5 bymorty from Excellent portable storage enclosureI put a spare SSD in this enclosure for some fast portable storage and it works great. No drivers, plug and play. The SSD fit slightly loose but in the box was provided a "cushion" and once install the SSD was snug and didn't move. The enclosure has some rubber feet to avoid it sliding around on the desk and it also included an activity light. My only gripe would be that the glossy plastic has gotten marked up by just being in my laptop bag. It doesn't take away from the function though, just cosmetic.I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.
