Know your gear

Tripp Lite's ultra small 7-port USB 2.0 hub is the most versatile and powerful hub on the market. It allows you to connect up to seven USB devices to a single USB port on your computer. This unit meets or exceeds USB 2.0 Specifications for Hi-Speed data transmission rates up to 480Mbps. Perfect for both the mobile and desktop user. While the hub will function perfectly in virtually all cases without needing external power, a compact, multi-voltage AC adapter (100-240V ) has been provided for the rare circumstance when connecting a power hungry device. This USB 2.0 device is backwards compatible so that it will function with both USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices. Over-current protection safeguards connected equipment from overvoltages. Includes stand for upright positioning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy so far with one small issue. The only problem I have noticed is that the power adapter doesn't fit all the way into the port on the unit. It is rather loose and has some wiggle room. This makes me a little uncomfortable. Other than that, thumbs up so far. I do like how it has five ports on the back and then two on the front. I use the 5 ports for devices that I keep permanently connected that way I don't have to reach around to the back. Since I don't need portability, I have permanently attached it to my desk as it isn't quite heavy enough to combat the stiffness of USB cables. The fact that it can be placed vertically or horizontally is also a plus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy with my purchaseMy laptop only has 2 USB ports which are being used for the wireless keyboard & mouse. I needed more and this USB hub solved my problem. It works great & has a low profile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good productI am using 2 Tripp Lite 7 port USB 2.0 ports for my flight simulator. I have plugged only 4 USB's in each one and so far they have worked well in the past 2 months I have used them. It is better to set them up in an horizontal position (see photo) so the wires do not pull them down.
