Tripp Lite's U360-007 USB 3.0 Hub plugs into a computer's USB 3.0 port and provides seven USB 3.0 SuperSpeed peripheral ports, and one charging port for charging tablets such as an iPad. Dedicated charging port supplies the extra amperage (5V, 2A) needed to charge tablets, which most USB hubs do not include. Plug-and-Play... no software or drivers required. The unit I received failed after a short while, so it was replaced at no cost to me and is working flawlessly. This company stands behind its products.

My computer has 3.0 USB port, so to take advantage of the speed, I need a 3.0 USB Hub. I have the Tripplite Super Speed USB 3.0 Hub and I love it. It is light weight, ports have some space between them, it has a Charging port and the hub plugs into Electrical outlet for more charging power. It is fast as stated.

Rated 5 out of 5 byRETOLDVET from Well designed Quality 7 Port 3.0 High Speed Hub.We have quality 7 Port 2.0 USB hubs on two computers and the one on my wife's computer failed after years of service. I went shopping online at Tiger-Direct and read the reviews on USB hubs and the features and the name Tripp-Lite was enough to convince me to select the U360-007, 7 Port USB 3.0 SuperSpeed Hub. It was a snap to install even with the short power lead. I plugged all the equipment into the hub and it has been a great piece of equipment, it does it's job and you soon forget it's there. I would highly recommend this high speed hub, the price is right for the quality of the product.

Sits quietly and small just under the monitor waiting for things needing plugging. Plus it has a dedicated charger slot that charges iPad pretty darn fast. OK I will change 4 stars and make it 5. Awesome Hub!

I didn't have the luxury of being able to get behind my iMac easily. So, while perusing 'Other World Computing's' web site, I spotted this 7-Port USB Hub and knew at a glance that I had to have it. I've yet to use the dedicated powered port, for the other 7 ports meet and or exceed my needs for data control and charging. I would highly recommend this product to any computer owner. This '7-Port USB 3.0 SuperSpeed Hub with USB Charging' has been invaluable to me in the time that it has saved me and it's convenience. The Hub is backward compliant with USB 2.0, which is good for me for I don't have USB 3.0 capability. The transfer speeds are still fast enough for me. When I upgrade to a Mac product that has USB 3.0 ports I'll be able to bring this Hub right along without having to upgrade.

I had read reports about other USB 3.0 hubs having issues with mixing 2.0 and 3.0 devices. Not so with the Tripp-Lite product. I have three USB 2.0 devices plugged in and a USB 3.0 external hard drive. The hard drive performs nicely at the 3.0 level without disturbing the 2.0. devices. The slightly higher price is more than justified because the hub performs exactly the way it should. I am very satisfied.
