The APS2424 2400W PowerVerter APS 24V DC 120V AC Inverter/Charger is a reliable power source for a wide variety of equipment ranging from power tools and pumps to portable lighting and computer equipment in heavy-load conditions. With no fumes, fuel or excess noise, it's an excellent alternative to generator power. The DC-to-AC inverter features an automatic line-to-battery transfer switch and integrated charging system that allow it to work as a vehicle inverter, standalone AC power source or extended-run UPS. It delivers 2400W of continuous power, 3600W up to one hour, or 4800W of peak power up to 10 seconds during equipment startup or cycling. An automatic overload detector, cooling fan and resettable AC circuit breakers protect the unit from damage. Designed for easy installation in RVs, commercial and fleet vehicles, emergency vehicles and construction equipment, the APS2424 converts stored power from any 24V battery or automotive DC source to safe, stable, computer-grade AC power for unlimited runtime. When hardwired to an external 120V AC source, the unit keeps the user-supplied battery charged via a three-stage 14/55A selectable charging system while simultaneously delivering AC power to connected equipment. When used as a UPS, the APS2424 responds to blackouts and brownouts with an automatic, instantaneous transfer to battery-derived AC output. LEDs on the unit indicate AC/DC operational modes, overload status, DC voltage level, shutdown status and system fault status.

Tripp Lite Inverter 2400W 24V DC to AC with Automatic 55/14-Amp Charger is rated5.00 out of5 by5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from APS2424Installed a few weeks ago and so far works flawlessly, used it for an off grid power system in a cabin. We utilized all LED light bulbs to reduce the power demand on the battery bank and this Inverter has operated loads up to 1400 watts with no problem. Have yet to see how the modified sine inverter will operate a television. So far very happy with the product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent full time operationI was originally impressed with the quality of construction and user instructions. I installed on an independent system with full time operation. Excellent power source, especially for inductive loads. I am able to run several pumps as long as I keep the max output current below the locked rotor currents at startup of the pumps. Outstanding service which easily surpasses the operation of less expensive 5000 watt rated inverters on a continuous use and inductive startup load operation. Very pleased with unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seems well engineered but also is fragileI've had two of these units. I use them as a backup supply for sump pump in basement. The sump pump is fed directly from the unit. The first one failed just outside of the one year warranty. I took it apart and some components inside had failed.. burned off the foils on some of the circuit boards. Bought another one. Had better luck with it as it lasted about 5 years. However, last week there was a power failure (or a surge, not sure) which knocked out the utility power for about an hour. (We have power outages very, very rarely.) The unit was damaged during this event, and provided no output for the sump pump. As I was out of town for a week (naturally!) the water alarm came on day 2 of my out of town trip. As I could not get back quickly enough I have water in my finished basement, again. These units, while they have good functionality and features, are simply not up to mission critical reliability. Twice burned, four times shy
