If you're powering very complicated equipment with large "box style" plugs, you need to spend the money and either buy a larger strip or buy a strip with diagonal outlets so you can fit the "box style" plugs. Don't cheap out with a basic powerstrip and then blame the power outlet for not having more advanced features that you were too cheap to purchase.
