And to eliminate need for a separate surge protector that can clutter up your work area, the SS240806 contains a premium-grade surge suppressor rated at 1050 Joules for protecting computers, testing equipment and other sensitive electronics from destructive, high-energy, AC transient surges and EMI/RFI line noise. Encased in a rugged, all-metal housing, it comes with adjustable mounting clips for either vertical and horizontal mounting, making the SS240806 ideal for a variety of uses including computer rooms, workbenches, table tops, repair shops, labs, test areas, work stations, offices, hobby shops and more. Rated 5 out of 5 byMETICULOUS AND CAREFUL WITH WHAT I BUY from SATISFYINGLY SOLID AND WELL-MADEA DEFINITE CUT ABOVE THE STANDARD ONES AT BIG BOX STORES, IT GIVES ME MORE CONFIDENCE THAT MY EQUIPMENT WILL ACTUALLY BE PROTECTED. THIS MAKES IT WORTH THE EXTRA MONEY TO ME. THE COVERED ON/OFF SWITCH IS A NICE TOUCH. I CALLED TRIPP-LITE WITH SOME QUESTIONS, AND THE REP WAS VERY HELPFUL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. I HAVEN'T HAD ANY SURGES YET, SO NO CHANCE TO EVALUATE THAT.

The product is phenomenal solid metal construction, amazing cord length, and great spacing to fit larger plug in packs without blocking another outlet/losing one. I recently bought another for my room for all my rescue equipment, couldn't be happier. If you want to safeguard your purchase have a clean and solid product, do no hesitate to purchase!
