Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullOur use case / experience:Three SSIDsEnd-users: 802.1x authentication. Bridged to native VLAN.IoT devices: WPA2 personal. Bridged to native VLAN.Guests: Open with simple password captive portal. Tagged to isolated VLAN w/ dedicated firewall port.Devices:Peak of 60 devices in a 3,000 square foot area. Most are IoT, remainder are Apple products - iPads, iPhones, Macs.Topology:Five AP AC ProsOne CloudKey2.4GHz for Guest and WPA SSIDs enabled on 3 of 5 APs.5GHz for Dot1x and WPA SSIDs enabled on all AnsPower levels dropped down to “low” (~6mW or 6dBm?)Minimum RSSI increased to -70dBmPros:Most cost-effective solution.Able to stock on-site spares due to low cost, but haven’t needed them yet.Wider temperature range allows installation in insulated/unconditioned attic space for ‘out of sight’ install.Chat support via the controller is competent with minimal to no wait.Cons:1. Wish for a direct integration with Active Directory instead of RADIUS/NPS.2. Wish for a “request access form” on guest net with an email to admin to approve/decline.3. Wish the second port on the WAPs could be connected to a redundant switch.4. Wish the controller could use “listen data” from WAPs and RSSIs from clients to produce a better coverage map.5. Wish for 4x4MIMO / wave2, but *so far* our usage doesn’t necessitate it.Results:Subject to the usual contention issues, clients are able to get at least 200Mbps of throughput to the Internet wired-equivalent latency.Meets all our NEEDS, lacks a few of our WANTS.Would definitely recommend as long the feature set is congruent with your deployment requirements.Have three months left in pilot project. If it continues at this rate, we’ll do an “enterprise”-wide deployment (5 sites, 42 WAPs)Hope the next series will use the same ceiling mounts as this series or offer an adapter. I like “twist-click-and run” deployments.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullAs a Network / Systems Admin, I look for ways to improve things at home as well as at work. I was first introduced to these devices when a friend put one up at home, so I decided to check into it. After researching it, I decided to buy one. The signal increase throughout my house is insane. It's sitting next to my netgear device, yet the signal strength is much greater and it reaches the entire house with ease. (basement/1/2f, and outside). The price is right as well. This may be an enterprise level device, but it's awesome for a home user as well who just wants a cool looking, high quality, reliable device. I can't wait to get it mounted to the ceiling..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullWe are using a bunch of these in our warehouse. They work pretty well for us, only problem we've had is in our freezer. It's awfully cold in there for any electronics, even our toughbooks don't last too long in there. I really like their unifi AP management software. Huge timesaver, lots of things you can check and change and a very logical and easy to use lay out of it all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullEasy to install, easy to manage, very well priced. With a free software controller and no licence model, you can spray units all over your sites to provide great coverage at a fraction of the price of other systems. Each box comes with everything you need to get the unit running (incl. the PoE injector)Provides a very simple and easy way to create a guest Wi-Fi with out requiring VLAN implementation.Areas for improvement ('cause nothing's perfect)- 1) non-standard PoE on low end units2) Does not work with DHCP failover3) Would be nice to have more SSID available 4) Would be nice to be able to apply different guest VLAN rules to different SSIDs5) AC units pretty expensive still

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullI spend a very long time last school year researching cheaper access points to provide a high school with a decent wireless network without having to pay a 'professional' price for it. It was a long search and I didn't think I would find something that would fill my needs with the budget I was on until I came across the Unifi AP. I was honestly so happy when I was stress testing the 75 euro access point for the first time and since then I set up a bunch of schools with them without having to look back on any kind of problems. I haven't come across another access point that gives me the same value for money (if someone else did, please tell me ;)) and I really recommend to check them out if you are on a budget and in need of decent wireless equipment!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullAfter my recent search for economical wireless for our small start up, I ended up purchasing 3 Unifi AP-LRs. And I think I have done a big mistake. I could not have a demo prior to purchase (given their small footprint in India). I ll list down the pros and cons so far whatever I have seen. Please suggest me any ways to improve stuff. But I now fully agree that good things doesn't come cheap.Pros:1. Dirt Cheap compared to others.2. Build quality and looks far better than others. 3. Packaging and box looks enterprise.4. Very easy initial setup.5. Per user bandwidth control is a huge plus.6. Controller layout friendliness and ease of use.7. AP range is really good.Cons :1. Controller is not a controller in that sense, its just a central configuration and pushing mechanism. It doesn't control anything on the fly or as per environments automatically.2. Any minor change in the config and the entire network would fluctuate for a while. Any enterprise cannot tolerate this. As you need to experiment with some of the settings while early implementation days, and this fluctuation makes for very poor show. I am literally terrified to change anything on the wireless if any user complains.3. Since this is not a actual controller, there is no load balancing just user capping per AP. Which accepts more clients but kicks low signal clients periodically. Why would I like a access point which kicks off a client which is already suffering from low signal.4. Often the clients are connected, but show the yellow sign of no internet access, and I don't have any place to look for the logs for some troubleshooting. Lots of suggestions and guesswork here. Again not enterprise class.5. Help desk did not revert back to me after email. So no points to the support system and hence not sustainable model for enterprise. Though after this I ll try harder to get some support from them. Fingers crossed6. Help documents are mere full forms of abbreviations not a proper explanation.7. Is there a money back guarantee if I am not satisfied now that I am stuck with them ?8. The controller installs in windows under some user and not as a service. I had to do some really geeky stuff to make it as a service.9. So many people have said installing it in ubuntu or debian is a breeze. But I could not run it for even a single time. And I am no way noob with windows and linux.10. Their box says "Enterprise wireless system". But I found the product to be far from any enterprise system. It still needs to mature a lot before calling themselves enterprise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullThroughput seems to be decent. Relatively easy to set up and has a lot of features for the price. The only complaint that I have is that we bought 6 at once and 2 of them failed in the same week... approximately 2 months after manufacture warranty expired. Nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullI've tried several brand APs; however, Ubiquiti's is my favorite. I've deployed a few UAPs and have not had to touch them since. They work well with VLANs; therefore, you can deploy multiple wireless networks securely without purchasing multiple APs.

Simple to setup, support multiple SSIDs, have their guest network integrated (no RADIUS, no external systems required). Plus, they are great to look at!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullWe have just purchased 6 of these to upgrade our school's wifi signal as some of the laptops were having problems logging on and accessing server resources. We ordered from a supplier in the UK called 4Gon at 150 Pounds for 3 (They are around 60 pounds each). They were very simple to install, 2 Cat 5.e RJ45 cables per AP and they were working. The UniFi APs also come with a wall or ceiling mounting kit so you're never short of a place to put them. You also get the 'UniFi Controller' which is a visual Wifi controller. This is very helpful if you have a small I.T team as it allows you easily and efficiantly keep track of your Wifi infrastructure. the signal is brilliant from these access points. They broadcast both a G and an N signal which means you're never short of signal. Overall I would recommend these to anyone looking to upgrade their Wifi access points. I don't think there is a better item on the market for this price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullLove the long range APs. These things are made well and are ridiculously affordable. Any old desktop or a VM can server as the controller with the free software. Contemplating tearing out all my Ruckus APs and our 1100 in our main office and making the switch. The Ruckus 7363 are nearly $600 a pop now (started around $350 three years ago). Also the Zone Directors require a maintenance fee every year. Ubiquiti has no fees at all. Win - Win!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullInstalled one of these in February and it's been nothing but problems since day one. It randomly drops all users and goes into an "adopting/adoption failed" loop until restarted. Just last month, I readied 2 new laptops for new employees and they automatically connected to the WPA protected WIFI WITHOUT asking for a password. Yikes! After I connected to the controller console to see if I could determine why, it went completely wacko and refused to allow any access to the LAN or Internet and will not reset to factory specs. Now, I've been in contact with their "support" for a week trying to get answers and a resolution with zero success. Their "support" amounts to you sending an email with your problem and some guy giving you a canned response sometime later that night. So far, none of the responses have even dealt with the issues I'm having. Lesson learned: maybe sometimes it's better to spend the money and get a product that works from a company that stands behind it. They get one star because I'm unable to give them less and still be able post this review. UPDATE: I was contacted by a product support specialist and he arranged for an RMA for this defective unit. Also, I was told that they are working hard to improve their support presence, initially with Live Chat. Thanks Cody!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullJust finished installing our first one. We were using a WRT54GL sitting on the conference room table, so anything ceiling mounted is a big upgrade. The Unifi's range appears to be much better, and PoE gave me one less thing to worry about. Installation in the ceiling tile was simple. Easy to put the AP itself on the inside network and the SSID on a separate VLAN. I like the web management software, which looks like it'll be very useful when I get another. Awesome price, can't beat it.I would have preferred if the software ran as a service by default, and if the AP supported SNMP (for Spiceworks scans). Those are minor complaints however, and nothing worth lowering the score over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullI am quite unhappy with them. I installed 38 of the PRO series.Everything seems to be simple and perfect. But:WLAN-Speed is VERY BAD comparead with the old MIKROTIK.They sometimes hang - and come back after some hours (watchdog?)No or very bad support SNMP. PRO: Simple to install- cheap, nice design,CON: Not enterprise-class at all. Very slow. Very little possibilities to tweak or find problem-solutions.Updates hang - and hat to be done by hand within a couple of seconds - before rebooting. Trying to find out why they are so slow i invested more time than controller software "saves" time. Till now after 2 month didn't find out and installed old side-by-side :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullSo far, we’re super impressed. We have three units set up in one building and as others have said, they pretty much just work. Will be installing more at a remote site and will report back how well this works. But at this point, I don’t think they can be beat for their price point. I'd like to mention a thanks to SpiceWorks as these were not on my radar until I saw them here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullCant believe how good these are for the price. The management software could do with a rethink and installed as a server application rater than how it is at the moment. But that's only a minor issue with what is essentially a fantastic product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullI purchased one of these following the overwhelmingly strong recommendation from the SpiceWorks community. After having one in production for almost a month now I can safely say that it is definitely a winner in all fronts. I have about 20-26 wireless devices connecting to it simultaneously every day. It has not even faltered once yet alone break a sweat at times of high usage. The centralized management is flexible and simplified. The ability to throttle users based on groups is a plus. Save yourself the hassle of hours of research deciding on the purchase of an AP for work or home. This one comes highly recommended at a price everyone can afford. Definitely a winner in my book.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullGame Changer.Hard to find Powerful, Easy, and Low-Cost all in one package, but the UniFi AP covers all three. Many features of the more known brands, but not the price tag. I am so impressed with these APs.One note: Buy them from a wireless distributor that will provide phone support if needed, because support from Ubiquiti runs thin. They have a great community, but not the conventional support like a big name offers. However, so far every problem (very few) I have run in to have been resolved either by the manual (RTFM!) or the community.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best in its price category. We had some aging 802.11g ruckus AP's that have been trucking along fairly well except when they weren't. Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullI've got a few of these deployed in my environment and few in reserve. So far they have been absolutely fantastic. Such great APs for the price. Even if you had to replace them every so often, they'd still end up cheaper than the next best AP. Central management software is simple and easy to use, love the map/coverage feature. Easy to see who is connected and to manage access. For the money, these are the best APs on the market.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullWe installed three of the UAP-LR WAPs in our office about 3 years ago. Granted, they're solid when they work. Two of those units have failed- one about a year ago, and one just now. Our office environment isn't anything out of the ordinary... typical office. All of the PoE injectors were on filtered UPS power. Network is all Cisco. All cabling is CAT6. I know I can't call Ubiquiti because I'm past the warranty period. But I'm seeing the same failure rates as if I were using SOHO wireless equipment. Great concept, nice system management, but the hardware is unreliable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullRecently deployed UAPs to our new warehouse and highly impressed with the results. The warehouse is connected to our network via a bridge using 2 UAP-Outdoors. (which is able to handle enough through put to support 4 computers, 2 voip phones and 4 symbol scan guns comfortably). Deployed 3 UAPs (one connected via wire to the switch, the rest getting signal via wireless from that UAP). The 3 UAPs are covering a 100,000 square foot warehouse, filled with floor to almost ceiling racks of product. The 3 UAPs at the new warehouse replaced 10 (admittedly significantly) older low end cisco APs, resulting in savings due to reduced power consumption. Additionally in our case, install costs were significantly lower than a traditional set up due to eliminating the need for long cable runs to each AP.Due to our experiences with the UNIFI hardware family in our warehouse I intend to replace the wireless access points at our headquarters and production facility with more UAPs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullFor an inexpensive solution these are great. They don't work with standard switch PoE so you need to use the included injectors or have a Ubiquiti switch. The controller software is easy to setup and has all the basic features. If you have a small office and are just looking for great coverage on AP's that you won't have to reboot daily (our previous AP's did this often) then these are the ones to go with. Missed the 5 star just because the lack of fine grain control of SSID's and users.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullThis product scales to the size of your company. If you are small, it is cheap and effective. If you are a big company, this product can deliver a complex wireless network with an efficient management backbone at a seriously cost effective price. It is also very stable unlike most $69-$99 wireless access points. It is faster than most as well. What is not to like? Only one thing may get you if you are really small. These units require a computer to install the management software onto. They cannot be managed from the web interface exclusively.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullI'm using the LR version. These things, hands down, are simply amazing. Way more capable than the stuff you would get from a brick and mortar store for the same price. Not to mention easy to configure, tons of options, in over a year it has fail.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullI've deployed four of these in the city and two at a non profit library that I do side work for. The ones in the city I haven't had to touch and are working flawlessly. I've recently had issues with the ones at the library. The PC running the controller crashed and the new one can't seem to seize control even after I factory reset them. Overall I would say these are really good if nothing goes wrong after the initial setup but if something does happen they can be a pain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullI bought a bunch of Aerohive AP's for a project. They came recommended by colleagues so I gave it a go and I think they are good but really expensive for the amount of people the AP is serving. Don't get me wrong, Aerohive has a great product, but I found these on Amazon for 1/5th the cost. They seem to perform almost as good. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking to upgrade the WiFi infrastructure for schools or small to medium businesses. Also there is no subscription fee like the other "high end" APs , but you will need to dedicate a computer to run the java based controller software.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullWe have been slowly deploying them in our different offices. The UniFi Controller is easy to use and it's simple to setup and deploy the UniFi APs. The UniFi Controller is software based so you don't have to spend a lot of money to purchase a dedicated controller. The controller software is Java based so you need to install Java. It's a fairly light weight piece of software so it hardly uses any CPU cycles and it uses about 128MB of RAM.Once you setup on UniFi AP, it's easy to add another. When you add the new AP into the UniFi Controller, it will configure the wireless settings to match your other access points. We have 2 deployed in one office and 2(One is the Long Range version) more deployed at a different location. We have not had any issues at all. they have all worked perfectly. At one of our offices, we even had to dial down the radio transmission power. In another office we have 2 Cisco Air AP1141 access points and they are a pain to configure. I wish we didn't spend the money on the Cisco and just got the UniFi APs instead.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullIn a location where I've had to replace Wireless Routers about every 18 months for what i _think_ is weird power issues, I decided to put a Ubiquity UniFi AP in place. After a couple months it has been fantastic! The coverage is complete throughout the entire site. Previous (soho) wifi routers did not cover either end of the site, no matter where I mounted them. The UniFi AP gives us full signal and excellent speeds all the way to the outside walls at each end. I'm sure our neighbors are seeing a strong signal in their WiFi signal list too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullExcellent quality, reliability and most of all very attractive prices for the feature set you get. Even as a mid-sized company with a lot of users and offices, we had started our wireless deployment with basic SOHO level wireless AP's years ago. While that may have worked for some time, it was becoming more and more of a challenge as our typical user was starting to come with 2 or 3 wireless devices in tow (notebook, tablet, smartphone). We're stretched very thin in our IT department and face budgeting difficulty and pitching a solution with a wireless controller and 100 $250-500 wireless AP's just wasn't going to fly. Ubiquiti products have helped bridge the gap, offering us a much easier to manage product from a central dashboard with features your SOHO level hardware just don't provide unless you get into running third party firmware. Deployment is a breeze and the UniFi software runs great under Windows and *nix alike (we opted for Linux for lower overhead). Running smooth with ~100 AP's throughout the state managed from one UniFi VM running with a gig of RAM and a single CPU - can't complain with that at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullThis is one of the best access points that I have ever worked with. The soft controller makes implementing your Wireless network quick and easy. Basically you just install the controller on a server, setup the Wireless network and then plugin your AP's. The controller will pick up the AP, you select to adopt them and then it is part of your wireless network. Your Wireless capable device will connect to the AP with the strongest signal. The controller gives you the option to create a guest network with client separation, so it's perfect to use for Hotels or Conference centers where you want to give users internet access but don't want them to get onto your internal network and don't want people connecting to the guest network be able to access each others shared documents. From the controller it is also easy to locate an AP, as you can upload a floor map and add an AP to the its physical position on the map. So when one of the AP's gives you a problem, locate it on the map and you will know exactly which one it is. Each AP comes with a POE adapter but can become a problem when you have a lot of AP's plugging into the same switch as these POE adapters require power. So if you have 30 AP's, you will need space to put all the adapters as well as a power port for each. Luckily the smart people at Ubiquiti thought about this and created a POE converter to work with your POE switch. So this small device converts power from your POE switch to 18v that the AP requires to power up. Just note that this is not compatible with all POE switches so do your homework a bit and get the right info from your supplier.Obviously there is a lot of functions that I did not cover, but these are the ones that I use daily with these AP's.So in my honest opinion, if you have a big office and require a wireless network that is accessible from anywhere in your office this is the solution for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullI will say the bad first, I expected basic AP to be longer range ( since it's enterprise level ) than your typical Belkin 300 or netgear 300 router but to my surprise even some Motorola modems given by ISP in some small offices I placed this where reaching the same distances. I understand that placement and all that other good stuff matters but I expected that if in the same place same area as a non dedicated AP this " enterprise " would get stronger signal and better throughput. Well I still like ubiquity a lot but my personal experience is to only use Long Range versions of any ubiquity any Lite or regular AP I don't thouch those. anymore. But the software, the esthetics, the overall ease of use and reliability these are all things ubiquity does very well and comparable to any company out there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullThe UniFi system has a truly amazing Value per dollar ratio! While I'm sure some of the more expensive systems have their selling points I cant imagine that they are worth the enormous price difference. We have two different UniFi networks here one for our corporate equipment (with 10 APs) and another for our Public WiFi (42 APs).My only complaint is that the wireless up link option is not reliable (at least in our current configuration).I very highly recommend this system.CJ

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullWe have 6 of these so far and they are working flawlessly. The controller software is running on a virtual machine and we have not had any issues. They are basically just plug and play. We had gotten quotes for over 50k to put a managed wireless system in our facility. We can do these for a fraction of the cost even with having an outside contractor do the wiring. Users that are on the wireless network can move from one end of the facility to the other and the systems just hands off from one AP to the next without problems. The biggest downside to this system is the company is not end customer oriented. They are a group of engineers. Their support will not be as good as going with a bigger more expensive product. These things are cheap enough that if one failed, I would consider it disposable. The UNIFI system is currently the only access points that we are using. I plan on adding many more in 2014.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullI installed these in my facility last summer. The old system I had (ValuePoint) that my contractor was sure would work in my building. Well, it only worked if I wanted to reset the AP's every 6-8 hours. Once we decided to go with the Ubiquity, we were much happier from the onset. For one, the cost was a lot less than the VP ($600 a pop plus controller). I was able to do my whole building for the cost it took to provide minimal coverage in two wings with the VP system. I have not had to restart my AP's except once when the alarm company tapped my network line (I've since moved them to a VLAN). Great coverage, good connections, and good speed! I definitely recommend these!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullCame across the Ubiquiti website and was impressed with what I saw there. Then we saw the pricing. WOW!! We have an existing enterprise Wi-Fi solution that we purchased two years ago, so we can't ditch it yet. However, I have little doubt that when we make the move to the new standards that we will look anywhere other than Ubiquiti. I ordered one of the UniFi units to test out. The price was so fantastic that I couldn't resist. I downloaded the free controller software and was up in running in about three minutes. The controller software is feature rich. The range of access point is better that my existing access points that were 15 times more expensive. The only downfall I have found so far is rather cheap plastic the device cover is made from, but that really doesn't matter if they are mounted and no one is playing Frisbee with the device.Fantastic product IMO. Keeping this company on my radar! The WAP also included a power injector in case you do not have PoE. You simply cannot beat this thing for the price and features. Additionally, my big, pricey enterprise solution failed to detect this as a rogue access point when I plugged it in to the network. Great work Ubiquiti!!

Although they are still in testing and just being deployed, I believe that these will become my go to for the campus WiFi.We have a small IT department (2 of us) and a presence in three countries and two states within the US. We have multiple locations in each state. Central management is a completely necessary thing to have. The price point is absolutely amazing and the units seem to work extremely well. I don't think I could be any happier so far. I hope the good experience continues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullMy company is moving offices soon. So I needed to get a more robust Wifi ready to go. Might as well make everything wonderful, right?Love these units. I only have two of the 3-pack set up here in the old office to test and coverage is great. When finally starting to build out the new office, I shall move the last one there for temp connectivity and then, on moving day, bring these two over to the new digs, plug them in and will be up and running in about 2.37468 minutes.Oh, and they are $69 each.Software for the controller is nothing to be totally excited about, but it does the job and does it pretty well.I am sold.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullI am really happy with the 3 pack of unifi pro APs I purchased, so much so we purchased a second 3 pack. The APs did setup quickly on my main network but took a bit of work to setup at a location connected by VPN. There are almost no settings you can manipulate which is both good and bad (if ou get the setup correctly they will work, but it sometimes can take a bit to get them working)These APs have been working well with all the smart phones, laptops and tablets that have shown up.I really like the ability to setup VLANs with destinct SSIDsI am really happy with the 3 pack of unifi pro APs I purchased, so much so we purchased a second 3 pack. The APs did setup quickly on my main network but took a bit of work to setup at a location connected by VPN. Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullBought 3 of these after researching into a new Wireless system for our warehouse - I must say I'm blown away at the whole experience. Easy to setup, great additional features packed into the software and overall a much better system than what we had before.Should we need to expand our wireless, UniFi AP's will be my first and only port of call!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullWe've had our 3 Unifi access points running for about a year now. At first I was pretty disappointed as individual access points would randomly stop working until I power cycled them. I decided to update firmware on all the units and now for about 9 months everything is rock solid. Our users transition between access points without fail and no one ever complains about wifi performance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullI recently purchased 15 of the unifi stations. Once they were installed and the software installed it took about 15 minutes to configure everything and to have the entire wireless network running from a single console. The software is very easy to use and the hardware is well though out and blends in with the building structure. Most people wont even see the access point once there installed. Tech support has been very good as i normally have an answer in about 15 minutes. I have approximatly 25 users per device with out any bandwidth issues. The only drawback to the unifi modules is that they are POE 24V, They cannot support standard POE (48v) without a special dongle that you purchase seperately.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullWe have three of these wireless Access Points now and have had no trouble whatsoever. We are in a building surround by hotels that interfere with our normal router, yet these UniFi's are totally unaffected. The cheap price of the AP's compared to big brand names might put some people off but believe me these are quality products! I would Highly Recommend!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullThey seem all shiny, but lord help you if there ever is a problem.I have been in a two-week interchange with one Derek D. from Ubiquiti "tech" support and have yet to get a straight answer to a simple question, no matter how I manage to pose it. The AP in question is intermittent, and he has had me configure it to the point of unusability, lectured me on topics already covered in previous interchanges, and indicated that the hardware tends to disconnect itself from service at the slightest hint of interference.Run away. Fast.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullThis product was introduced at my last job to replace a 100+ Linksys WRT54Gs that were deployed throughout 30 work sites. It was the solution to the lack of reliability that the Linksys were lacking mostly due to their age. Once these were implemented into our network the help desk calls regarding WiFi issues nearly went down to zero!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullI've used Aruba, Linksys, Cisco, Netgear and D-link access points and these are by far my favorite ones. I first purchased Aruba for my home network, wanting multiple, communicating, access points in my house. I paid $75 a piece for two access points and have not been disappointed. The features and ease of use provided by the Unifi control software are spectacular and give a clear and easy to understand over view of whats's happening on the network.I find my self wanting to add more APs to my house, including some outdoor units just to play with the software more. Alas the two Unifi APs more than cover my 1800 sq/ft home and surrounding outdoor space. (Through foot thick stone walls no less!)If you want a low cost, high qualify product I resoundingly recommend UBNT's UniFi products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullSorry but I have to post a 1 star review even though my original impression was very positive.I purchased 6 of these 2 years ago. They were deployed in a one-floor general office environment powered with the supplied POE injectors from a surge-protected/UPS'ed server room. Set and forget.1 failed at 11 months and was successfully RMA'ed. Just had a SECOND one fail at 23 months and RMA has been refused. So, our real-world long-term experience has been that these are unreliable: We are already at 33% failure rate in less than 2 years.Ubiquiti response is "This is very odd." and "I am sorry you have had this experience". However, they apparently don't feel a 33% failure rate is anything for them to be concerned about. They suggest I PURCHASE more.So I am curious if any other LONG-TERM installations (2+ years) have experienced anything like us?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullIf you would go for the price to performance this AP would do just great. To start with, this is not the high end pure enterprise WiFi solution, although it's still a very stable platform with a lot of capabilities and would be suitable for most small to medium offices. The HD version of the AP struggled when they were 40-50 devices connected to it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullGreat price point, and very simple to provision. The cloud controller makes management simple, and monitoring very organized. Installation is a breeze, and they don't get insanely hot (like some other unnamed APs do).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullI love these Ubiquiti Access Points and use them all over the place. I highly recommend them for all small and medium businesses, homes, you name it. If you plan on having dozens of APs in one location or thousands of people connecting then I'd go for Ruckus, but if you want fast, inexpensive, reliable wireless coverage for low or medium density areas, you can't beat the UAP Pro access points from Ubiquiti.Pros: Easy to set up, inexpensive, great signal and speed, nice packagingCons: Software can be a pain to maintain since it needs a specific version of Java. Software can crash or sometimes won't load with Windows on startup and will cause APs to get flaky after a few weeks if software is not running on server. That can be fixed by manually making it run as a service, but you have to tweak it manually for each software version after you update it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullI have 6 deployed at two companies; three in one building for a private client and 1 each in three different buildings for my day job. I couldn't be happier. All of the reivews that I read hear and in the community forums were spot on. These devices just work. They are easy to configure, and very easy to auto-configure, using the appropriate DHCP and DNS options. I just can't get over how simple it is. The mapping function is helpful - if only an estimate. Additionally the flexibility and features offered by this device and software easily rival those of established enterprise class wireless infrastructures. I will definitely be buying this product again - 1) because it's easy to simply add another wireless unit, and 2) because there is almost no reason to look for a competing product.
