Ubiquiti Unifi AP Long Range - wireless access point is rated4.00 out of5 by6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullI've worked in depth with ubiquiti for a number of years now. More so in the past when I was working more closley on development, and a number of my/our suggestions at the time were implemented. A very responsive company with great products. As for the Unifi system, Iv'e been using an LRAP at home for probably three years now, and have rebooted it twice. Software (unlike other users) installs very cleanly on both linux and windows x64 systems, and I've never run into trouble with it. Upload your own scale drawings and get a realistic coverage map of general FSPL and move migrate manage limit, the whole nine yards form the software. great overall system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullA lot of people seem to overrate these products. The software can be a pain to get working on a x64 system and when I got the software to work the AP was not detectable. The units are pretty cheap on amazon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullAn SMB I support has a lot of metal and older buildings that wreak havok on wireless access points. After using the standard range version of this AP in a test setting at my house, and seeing how well it worked, I took the plunge on the ER. Not only does it work with all the interference, but it does so at full speed. The employees are much happier with this than any other prior device that I've tried.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullAfter using this product in our warehouse and how well it covered a 18000 sq foot warehouse, I then got one for home and unit is in the basement. I still get 4 bars on the 2nd floor. In addition I still get a decent signal throughout most of my yard as well. I would recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullSuper easy to install and manage and perfect for small locations looking for a minimal investment. They can be picky, and the quality isn't as great near the edge of range, but it's very hard to beat for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullThese are great for SMB environments. The controller is pretty easy to setup and they're so inexpensive for low budget. The controller is software you can run on a PC or on a server. You can set it up in a virtual environment, anywhere. The APs themselves are very inexpensive so you'll see them in SMB a lot. The range and density is great. Beware of your client saturation though. I've noticed once you get up to 100 clients connected, you start running into connectivity issues. But if you're scaling to that size, you might want to think of investing in an upgrade to a different solution. The interface is very easy to manage. Overall, no complaints if it's being used in a smaller environment.
