Project Helix Gives Shape to GenAI Applications
A Dell and NVIDIA joint initiative brings together infrastructure components to build GenAI models for customer service, market intelligence, enterprise search and many other capabilities.
A recently announced joint initiative between Dell Technologies and NVIDIA is bringing generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) to enterprise data centres in a simplified model.
Project Helix is an infrastructure, made up of Dell and NVIDIA technologies, designed to help businesses build and use GenAI models for their customer service, market intelligence, enterprise search and a range of other capabilities. GenAI is a branch of AI that can be used for generating content, including images, text or audio. GenAI techniques use deep-learning algorithms to learn from large datasets, recognize patterns and generate new content that is not explicitly programmed by humans.
Built on Dell infrastructure and software that’s combined with NVIDIA accelerators, AI software and AI expertise, Project Helix components provide purpose-built generative AI to solve specific business challenges. The joint Dell and NVIDIA effort will support an entire GenAI life cycle – from infrastructure provisioning, large-model development and training to pretrained model fine tuning, multisite model deployment and large-model inferencing.
Project Helix promises to ensure trust, security and privacy of sensitive and proprietary company data, as well as compliance with government regulations.
