Great Machine - Bad for printing batch envelopes.

Do not recomment this printer
Every time I needed to print, I had to reinstall the printer driver. Calls to support have not produced a long-term solution. I have finally decided to throw it out. I bought a comparable HP which works with no issues.

Upgrade to color laser...
Fairly pleased with the printer so far. Had a Brother B/W in office prior so they are reliable. A bit concern how quickly the initial toners provided ran out but I have been told that the XL replacements that are now installed will last much longer! The color is a bit off for our Charities graphics but we will attempt to adjust the color in the settings. I also cannot adjust our cheque alignment in quick books like on HP so have to look into this...

Would have given this printer a very solid 5…but it eats toner! Super impressive in every other aspect. Buy lots of reserve toner cartridges because it goes through them like a kid on his first Halloween candy bar!

Interface could be much more user friendly.
It is a robust machine that mechanically performs very well. I find the printer interfaces in apps unnecessarily complicated and confusing. If one changes a setting for say an envelope, the next regular print job has to be reconfigured. Instead of having to change settings, the interface should just have simple and temporary on click shell buttons.

Great product - lousy business practice. Just installed latest software update and found out the printer will no longer accept aftermarket cartridges forcing the use of over-priced Brother cartridges. Sneaky. Will never buy Brother again!

Think twice and review quality before buying
The price is what I expected. The color printing quality was disappointing for ID card (color and quality). Also slower page print speed compared to my last Brother printers. I would not by again.

Avoid this printer
Have to reconnect frequently with the internet. The delay in printing from the time I push print is longer than any other printer I have ever used. Very frustrating. The off shore tech support or customer service is not very helpful and many times hard to understand. The printer goes into a deep sleep state very quickly and is hard to connect with while it's "sleeping".
My first Brother printer (MFC-L2700DW) was, and still is, wonderful so I had little hesitation in purchasing this one. Big disappointment.

The print quality looks faded and cheap. The machine was easy to set up though and works really well otherwise. The only issue is the poor print quality. Had I known this beforehand I would have purchased a different printer.

Not what I would expect for the price point.
This brand came highly recommended by my tech-support professional. He puts them in Dr's offices and high volume places. He says they are VERY fast. I guess I got the wrong model...the cartridges are 3x's the cost of my HP InstaPrint toner. The expensive cartridges last about 1/2 as long. I am on PC and my colleague with whom I share this printer is on a Mac. She can scan and I cannot...this printer doesn't print 2-sided (the less expensive smaller Brother MFC-J4535DW does? Go figure). I'm aware this probably a driver issue....but I've run that program twice with no difference...The toner must 'heat up' before it can adhere, so there is this weird space between sending to the printer and the actual printing. This machine is very heavy and quite large...the space we have is not quite deep enough, so we have to slide it forward to open the top to get to the cartridge area. The quality is good, once you get things going.

Speed an issue
The quality of the print is fine, but, the speed is much slower than I anticipated. It seems to be unable to handle (spool?) large files with photos or graphics (such as would be in ppt presentations).

Quiet, affordable multi-function printer.
I chose a Brother printer when I needed to replace my old printer because I had have positive experiences with Brother products. This time around, I had a negative experience. At less than 3 months old, I had to request a replacement machine for a failed LCD display. The new printer should be arriving later this week. I hope it performs better than this one did, and that the new printer will restore my confidence in Brother products.
Aside from the LCD issue, it's a very quiet printer and it was affordable. It has a slightly smaller footprint on my desktop. I was downsizing my office as I headed into retirement. My previous printer, also a Brother multi-function machine, needed to be replaced and I chose this one. This printer does not duplex print. However, it sits very close to me and most print jobs will have pop-ups to guide me in turning over the paper and reinserting to print a second side. I frequently have to copy and distribute 8-10 page reports so the top feeder was an important feature to me.

Perfect home office
I am using my machine in a small home office with mac on wifi. I should never admit this but I love things that work without reading the manual... I just plugged it in and was up and running. This is my first color laser and am hoping it will eliminate the super annoying annual purchase of ink jet printers and costly ink supplies.

Disappointing
We print legal documents that require accuracy precision and detail. We are ready to replace first toner cartridge. The printer has began to cast a shadow over every document printed, along with streaks. It has been impossible to reach technical support - live person. I have performed every tutorial, watched every flipping video and read every help document. There is apparently a mistaken impression that my time is not valuable. That I need to spend my time trouble shooting a 3 month old printer? We bought this printer because of the reputation as a work printer, For this price the printer should at least duplex. I am not alone in those thoughts. At this should not be happening I have been on hold for nearly 30 minutes. I want my money back and there is no reason for anyone to go through this.

Big flaw with this printer
Wow very disapointed with this printer I bought about 1 year ago. It prints nice, could be faster though but I just discovered a MAJOR FLAW: it won't print if one of the colour toner is empty, even if you change the settings to black & White!!!! now at almost midnight, having to print some important documents, I'm stuck! I will have to go to a store early tomorrow morning to get what I need, NOT impress at all. This is not the way to keep customers happy........

Overall, I'm pleased with the printer. I spent several hours on the phone to get it set up because it wouldn't connect to my computer wirelessly and it still doesn't. The quality of printing is good. The savings in ink is fabulous. The few functions I use have been good. I wish it printed double sided. I didn't check that when I bought this one.

One of the best value for money out there. It's about 49% less than HP and I would say it's 100% better than them. The ink can very expensive but it lasts a long time, but the quality of prints are fantastic. Brother makes great printers.

totally inconsistent functioning
whenever there is a lul of a day or so in using the printer it does not print material. I always have to remove and uninstall the printer then reinstall it to get it to work.

It seems to be an okay printer for the most part, but I have had problems with it saying to load paper when there was at least a hundred sheets in the tray. This has happened numerous times in the last 3 months. It also seems to have trouble picking up paper once you turn it over to print on the other side for a double sided paper. It seems to jam more often than some other printers I have used in the past. I do love its scanning ability and how I can scan directly to my computer. I also like the software that lets you make scan profiles so you can tell it to save your scan in a particular format and folder.

It’s a powerful machine. Works well but the scanning feeder tends to jam often if you put more than a couple of pages. If not for the time consuming task of rescanning multiple times it’s a great machine.

Beautiful color copies are my favorite thing about this copier. The enlargement and reduction buttons are easy to use. I have had to order ink cartridges however the replacement for ink is not intuitive and the directions are minimal. It took both my husband and I to figure out how to replace the ink cartridge.

3710 works great !
We opened the box; removed the tape from the cartridges' and reinserted them; turned it on, and its printed every time since we rec it 2 months ago. Never missed a print. Never had to even set it as default printer... Just prints when asked to. No problems w wifi at all. Just using it to make copies of legal papers, or school papers; just home use. Buying Refurbished from Brother web site was easy to do and shipping was fast.

This printer is WAY larger than I realized! It's a beast. But, it does do a great job printing so far. Easy wifi connect was great. The touch screen is amazing. The only thing I'm not happy with is the printing from my cell phone. There is no way to pick the size of what you're wanting to print. I like to print pictures from my cell, but I don't always want them to print as a full 8.5x11. I had the option with my old printer to choose the size before it prints. I hope one day they update this, because that alone would make me not buy the printer again.

Accuracy is lacking
We create legal documents We find that the printer pulls the paper differently each time. This causes checkboxes check boxes and form fields to be slightly misaligned. I am not saying that it is completely inaccurate on our templates but it is not aligning with some delicate nuances on our templates therefore causing a problem.
The printer is quiet it performs most tasks well it has lots of options good paper paper supply allows for different types types of paper but regrettably that level of accuracy that we must have each and every time is not there..
It doesn't double side print which is a problem and I'm surprised at brother this should be automatic.

Printer just doesn't work right. About 75% of the time when I try to print (wirelessly, I get a Windows print error message that says "failed to print." I can hear the printer start up when I print a doc (which, BTW, has an annoying "squeak...squeak...squeak..." when running) but then it stops running and printer displays "Receiving Data" or "Data in Memory" but nothing prints. I've tried restarting everything, removing/reinstalling drivers per Brothers tech support, etc. Still no improvement. Hugely disappointed.

Set up in 5 minutes, and its never missed a beat. Wireless working perfectly and has never hesitated to print a page! Had it now for a month and not the first miss. Color prints superb! I love the Lazer printing; Id highly recommend it over inkjet.

Color printing is great, and this printer does it. Printing on both sides requires some manual page turning, but the iPrint&Scan software show you how to do it. I have had success in connecting various devices to it.

I love the dry printing process! Printer needs to be modified to allow for automatically choosing between a voice message call and/or fax coming in, versus having to manually choose fax if system is set-up to accept voice messages. Brother should do away with starter inks and provide either standard or high yield only. Have found paper sensing to be super sensitive on alignment. Love the output though.

We were going through ink at the rate of a set of cartridges a month as i work from home and my wife prints for her business. This model had good reviews and a reasonable price. So far we are around 3 months in and not changed a cartridge. It is a little large but i'll take that over ordering ink ! easy to set up and has some nice add on features in the software for printing kids hobby ideas etc.

Really Good But Not Quite There
I've only had this machine for a few months, but like the smooth operation overall. The one area I am having a bit of an issue with is the document feeder. Most of the time it draws the paper in fine, but every once in a while, even if my page is flat, it draws the paper in at an angle. Once it emerges from the feeder the upper corner is folded over and one size of the page has a shredded edge. Not good. Otherwise, the machine has a nice solid feel and is easy to use.

This printer is only wifi we think, so it takes ages to print documents even ones with only a single sheet. So If you are a company that wants a printer to print documents but mostly bills for clients, this printer is NOT made for you. The clients will be annoyed by the time it takes to print their bills and they will less like the service you gave them.

Nice machine, it would have been better if it came with full toners, due to the amount of money charged. I do not think I got 800 pages out of the black toner. And the reminder only came on after I ran out.

Screen on front failed after 2 months
The screen on front failed after 2 months--it shows wavy lines making it nearly impossible to read. Otherwise great, but I give 2 stars because this is a big problem and I suspect would be expensive to get fixed (and/or inconvenient to lug the printer to a repair facility).

I bought the Printer almost 3 months ago but there are two big issues on it. 1- there is a very thick colored line on all scanned documents right after 10 day of my purchase. 2- The toners are finishing so fast.

Very poor Connectivity. AirPrint FAIL!!!
I had high hopes for this All-In-One Color Laser Printer. Unfortunately, the machine constantly drops from the network/ wifi. I have to continuously shut down and reboot the printer to get it to connect with ANYTHING!. Customer service and support is poor. They keep telling me to do what I've already done. This printer will NOT stay connected to any Apple device with AirPrint functionality. This machine has numerous connectivity defects. Avoid buying. I'm trying to return mine for a refund!

Poor wireless connectivity
The printer works well when it connects to the laptop, but doesn't stay connected. It will only connect wirelessly to one out of my four devices (PC laptop). It doesn't connect to my iPad, iPhone or MacBook Pro. I've installed and re-installed the app several times and there's no way it can see the printer. So frustrating!

This is a very nice printer. It is reasonably quick and is easy to install and operate. I had it up and running without any hitches. The thing that had me give it 4 stars rather than 5 is the color print quality. It'll be fine for things like flyers or general prints, but the color match and quality on photographs is not great. So good inexpensive office printer, but not good for a photographer, not that I'm a photographer. Overall happy with it, but with current technology, I expected to be able to print decent snapshots.

Great little printer !
My printing requirements are very sporadic. Some days I will be printing a lot and then I may go days without printing anything. An inkjet of any type is of no use to me as they dry up before a cartridge gets empty. So I switched to laser years ago so that I was able to print whenever I wanted without the ink issue. My last laser finally gave up after years of use (different brand) and I bought this model. I like it ! It is faster than my last and quieter.
The one thing I did find frustrating was setting it up wireless with my laptop running Win 11 and no CD-ROM as it kept referring to the cd. After an hour or so I did get it working properly. I think the support site should make available an ISO of the CD-ROM so people in a similar situation could just install it as a virtual drive.
Other than that issue, anybody looking for color laser on the low end of the price scale can not go wrong. I would give it 5 stars!

Print Quality is Terrible
Affordable for a laser printer, but the print quality is pretty terrible. Colors are terribly faded and blurry when printing images. I understand that this printer is not meant for printing high quality pictures, but even simple graphics look mediocre. The printer also does not print the number of pages advertised per minute. I'm lucky to get 8 pages per minute when printing in color and printing in black and white isn't any faster. Was excited to get a laser printer for my office, but now I'm missing my old OfficeJet.

It's great, but....
the machine is great, but i am sure we are only using a fraction of it's capability. it's not easy to find "how to" info. for example printing checks took several "dry runs" to learn how to load the blank checks so they would print correctly in order. it seems many of the take a bit of getting used to and time.

The machine has trouble talking to our computer via WiFi, all the other ones do, so we have to buy a cord to hardwire it to the computer. It doesn't automatically print double sided which is a pain, otherwise a great device!

Reliable Work Horse
Our company only purchases Brother printers for staff because of their dependability. When we needed more printers while working remotely (covid, I looked into HP, but didn't like their change to online program requirements. This particular model has more features that I need as the Operations Manager, because we had to give up our huge printer/copier/scanner when we closed our office. I appreciate the consistent quality and reliability. The toner is also high grade and, because I won't use the color very often, it's good to know it won't ever dry out. I wish this machine did front & back copies, but have learned to adapt. It takes a bit of extra time, that I couldn't afford if I did massive amounts of copying/printing. I appreciate Brother's help website for problem-solving if I ever need it.

Pleased with the features
The printer was easy to connect. This is my first printer with wireless capability and I recently had the opportunity to appreciate being able to print from a device other than my personal laptop. I owned a Brother All-In-One previously, had that one for 10 years. I decided that it was time to get a new once because a new one was cheaper than the cost for all the parts that needed replacing. Thank you Brother for making quality printers.

I absolutely love this printer. Everything works great and I like the fact that I can send anything I scan to my email or my computer. Printing quality is excellent. The only thing I would complain about is the cost of the ink but I guess it's not horrible for the amount of pages you can print.

Only one thing missing!
You would think that in the age of cell phones, that someone would come up with an analog/digital converter for these wonderful printers. I don't have a landline and not many orgs will take an email with a document copy. So is it possible to have a fake phone number attached to this wonderful printer that I could connect to from my cell phone and then send a fax? Why don't business fax machines have a built in converter to accept digital transmissions. Some one is going to make a boatload when they do this. Even an add on device to do the same thing.

Easy to install toners. Footprint of printer is nice for small office. Quiet. It does take a little time to warm up to print. A downside is the lack of 2 sided printing or ability to print odd or even sheets.

Although the printing is clear, and the printer relatively quiet and quick, we are disappointed that it will not print on both sides of a page without the clumsy "place the 1,3,5 pages back in the paper tray and then print again for pages 2,4,6"

It's an adequate copier but it could have been better with an automatic versus a manual 2-page print option and as I have to print both on legal and letter size for my job, a second print tray would have been nice, instead of having to constantly change out/readjust for the different page sizes.

I am so happy and so is my school from home family. We replaced 2 other underperforming printers with this one and it has met all our needs. Easy to set up, clear directions, quiet, and the print quality is great. I use the copier regularly and it is a breeze. Have to re-add to network before every print job
I tend to not post negative reviews, but I tried contacting Brother about this issue, and they never responded. I have reconnect the printer to the network before each and every print job. The issue seemed to have resolved itself a couple months ago, but now it's back. The only reason I didn't return it to the store was that the return window was too short. Now I'm stuck with this hunk of plastic that can't even print a word document. It's a shame because I have had good experience with Brother products in the past.

I have been able to easily connect every device in my house to the printer and can even print from my phone. With two of us working from home and two kids remote learning, the all-in-one has been invaluable. My only complaint is that sometimes the scans get askewed when using the feeder. I had an inkjet printer before and continuously had problems with the ink jets getting clogged and wasting expensive ink--I don't miss those problems at all! I will never buy another ink jet.

I wanted a really good laser printer, for 2 sided printing and cards and labels. I found out it only handles manual duplex printing, and cards and labels are difficult, having to open the rear door is not convenient or easy. It did not feed smoothly and wasted a couple of sheets of labels . So I need to see if I can still return it. Alot of money for not the ease I was hoping for.

The printer made great standard copies, but the cardstock copies are very poor. Leave a lot of residue on the copies. Once the paper has gone through the printer, it is curled, and cannot be used for double sided copies. I was very disappointed because I was using this for cardstock. Wanted a heavy duty printer that could handle it.

Bought this to replace a small printer I was constantly fighting with that lost settings and connections all the time (I worked in IT for 10+ years and still had nothing but trouble with it!. This set up flawlessly and was easy to program. I have not had any issues with it whatsoever.

So glad I made the switch to laser from inkjet. This printer is light years better than any printer I have ever had. All of my continual frustrations with terrible printers that need print heads cleaned about every 3 minutes, or need new drivers installed, or no longer offer the correct driver making it obsolete, or just won’t connect to the internet no matter what...ALL of these problems are gone. It doesn’t do great in color photo department, but lucky for me I don’t print a lot of color photos. So far super happy with my purchase.

Sleep mode is awful!
Purchased this printer for my wireless office. Unfortunetly, I had to connect with USB due to the sleep mode. The mode needs to have the ability to shut it off. I wasted so much time for 3 days trying to wake the thing up. Finally gave up and decided wireless was not possible with this printer

Admittedly this is relative to a low bar, comparing with the inkjets that always broke after two years. Despite poorer photo quality, I persuaded my wife to go with this instead of yet another inkjet, and she loves it - it feels like a real, quality machine, like my Brother black and white laser printer in my home office.

Easy Connectivity
I like the easy WiFi connectivity to my various computers and tablets. The printing is excellent quality and has the expected speed for my printing needs. The only feature that I thought it originally had was 2 sided copying, but that was my error. It handles all of our needs from faxing, printing, and scanning. The speed is good quality for our needs as wel.

A great solution for our home
After repeated problems and constant replacement of ink cartridges I thought about my end Brother HL 1440 laser printer that I've had for about 15 years with no trouble, and I'm still using it today. I decided that for color printing I would bite the bullet and get a Brother color laser printer. So far I'm really happy. I like printing wirelessly and with great quality. I hope it lasts as long as my old HL 1440.

Prints and copies are great. I have not yet used all of its features. Even when fax is not being used, the fax signal sometimes causes interference with regular phone service. I had wanted automatic two sided copying and thought this had it. The manual was confusing in the way it presented this information and caused me to think that I did not know how to make it operate the two-sided function. It seemed to me that the USB feature could have easily and inexpensively been included in this model.

Great home office printer
I have been able to print everything from postcards to posters with success. This printer was easy to set up and operate with all of my devices on wi-fi. Color is great, and if you use toner saver feature, toner will last much longer.

Perfect for our office at home
Due to the CoronaVirus Pandemic we needed to create a reliable home office for our small business, the brother mfc-l3710cw is the perfect fit for our needs. Basically it does everything we need with an outstanding performance. We couldn’t choose a better machine for our office at home.

Okay but not what I wanted.
The ink is not dark, either black or color. I have to flip the pages to get two sided. There was no instruction manual. I have to use trial and error for each function. Sometimes I do not know where my scanned items go then I cannot move them. It works but is more cumbersome than my HP printer. The only plus is that I am not going thru tons of ink.

Great features
I had the same Brother printer for several years and needed to finally replace it. This is the one that had the features that were best suited for my office. It is working well for me and it is also compatible with the Brother Utilities - a great tool that I use daily in my work.

Gets the job done
Pretty straightforward- gets the job done but no frills. My biggest complaint is that it does not print double sided, I didn't even know that was an option anymore. Other than that toner has been easy to install, no issues connecting wirelessly with our computers. We've had it for a year now and no malfunctions or major issues.

This printer has been working very good and still is. The one problem with this computer is that I don't know how to use the paper feeder at the very front of the machine. Calling at 877-278-8437 does not get any answer. Nobody answers

Nice basic all in one
I've been using this for just over a month and it does a good job. I wish I had realized that it doesn't automatically duplex, and that you have to use the manual feed to print both sides. I just assumed that this basic function was on all laser class printers. I also wish that the manual feed would automatically align the paper. Several times it's fed in at a slight angle and printed at that angle. My rather basic laser printer does this. Other than than that it's serving its purpose quite well.

One of the best printers I have ever owned.
I have always been a devoted HP user, but not any more. As an iMac user, I had experienced continued errors, the need for 3rd party software for simple things like scanning, and weekly wireless connection issues. Basically complete device failure. I am connected to it wirelessly, and I have had no issues with my iMac, iPad, or iPhone. It is silent, fast with fantastic vibrant color.

Been printing okay, but, today, every single sheet has gray grainy looking smudge (?) down the entire right side (not next to the edge of the paper, approx.1 inch wide and about 2 inches from the right edge of the paper). TOO SOON to be having issues w/my brand new EXPENSIVE printer/copier.

What we think...
We finally made the change from a Canon Pixma inkjet and are very pleased. As we updated our OS, Canon did not update the print drivers and we ended up with a machine that would do nothing. When the printer was newer, we hated the fact that the ink constantly dried out and created horrible copies...I had to very often drive to my office to print copies even when that machine was newer. NO MORE! We chose the Brother because Brother has a past record of supporting OS updates. The reliability ratings of the machine we chose are outstanding, and the ease of set up was excellent! The print in b/w is excellent; the print in color is quite good--not photo quality, but still very, very good. My only complaints are 1. the opening from which to retrieve documents is narrow and without any angle piece to make a copy easy to grasp. 2. the flat bed for scanning will only take 8.5X11 and I often need to do 9x12 or 10x12 copies of sheet music. For these, it is off to the office I go. The speed of the machine is ok...not extraordinarily slow, but for long documents, you will need some patience...not much, just some. The Brother MFCI-3710CW is a fine machine. You won't go wrong!

This printer gives sharp, clear prints; connects easily as a wireless connection and is much quieter than my previous printer. One con; not able to stop the fax from picking up when I receive a phone call. Can't find info in any instructions to correct this.

This printer made customizing our bulk Holiday card simple with the manual tray. No curling or bending of cards. 180 cards done with only 2 paper jams which were easy to clear. Done company holiday cards in record time!

After so many poor quality and noisy units from HP I finally gave up and ordered a Brother
right out of the box a much quieter and faster unit. Only wish the control panel was on a swivel.
I am convinced that HP put faults in their printers if you didn't use their inkjet cartridges - I will never use them again - they are certainly over priced..

Only One Frustration
So far this printer has been excellent and is everything I need for my home office. My one frustration is how difficult it is to do double sided printing. You have to MANUALLY feed the paper in one page at a time -- other home printers I have used this is not necessary. It's truly a pain.

Its easy to use, the touch screen is straight forward and user friendly with a good amount of options and settings. The one drawback with this printer is that AirPrints from Apple devices and wifi prints from other wireless devices don`t seem to uphold the same quality, especially for color images. With this, I`ve had better experiences with another printer. However overall I am pleased with it and will continue to use it. Also it prints fast and as a slightly impatient self employed creative type, I can really appreciate the speed and efficiency

I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion.Installation and Setup: From the time I removed the printer from the box, it only took me about 10 minutes to start printing. The packaging was secure and well insulated. Straight out of the box, I was able install the black and color cartridges easily. The printer was heavy, but that was expected due to its size. The power cord was easy to find and long enough to plug in at a fair distance from the outlet. The paper was simple to add. However, I have to be mindful not to overfill with the paper. When filled to the guide mark, the printer alerts me that it is "out of paper" when attempting to print.Ease of Use: This printer receives data from my laptops, desktop, and mobile phone within 2 seconds of clicking "print" no matter my distance from the printer. Special Functions: I have not found a need for the fax function, but the feature is great to have for business purposes. The feeder for copying and scanning works smoothly and quickly. The flatbed scanner also works well. Print Quality: Whether I use grayscale, economy printing, or normal printing preferences, I get vibrant full pigmentation. Each time I`ve printed pictures or clip art, the colors have been vibrant and crisp.Overall Impression: This printer is a great choice for small business offices or even busy families! I love the quality and ease of use. The only added feature I`d love to see is 2-sided printing for saving paper. Despite its size, this printer is very quiet, fast, and requires low maintenance.

So happy with this all-in-one printer
I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. I couldn`t be happier with this printer. I had recently donated my previous printer after going to the store for replacement ink and realizing the cartridges I needed were the same price as replacing the printer. I knew I would not want another printer unless it used toner as toner would last much longer between uses. I used this printer to create the documents I needed for an annual membership drive for the organization I work for: two letters, labels, and I also included 100 self-addressed envelopes. After printing all of these documents, I still have over 80% of my black toner remaining. I would say this met my expectations for how long toner would last as compared to ink, and as this was a deciding factor for me it greatly contributes to my overall satisfaction with this printer.This printer was very easy to set up and the fact that it is wireless is another great benefit. I was able to work at the dining room table while my printer was set up on my desk and both print items and scan them to my computer with no difficulty. I had to scan a pile of checks and it was simple to scan 4-5 at a time and create one PDF with all of the checks in it.I manually fed the envelopes that I included into the printer and after a bit of playing with how they fed I was able to print them in batches of 20 while standing at the printer and feeding them rapidly into the machine. I would say this is the only flaw I found with this machine, and this is hardly a flaw - that the manual feed on the printer is a bit touchy. There is a very small window of time that it wants you to have the next paper fed into the machine - too soon and it may jam (or think it has jammed), too slowly and it will beep at you wondering where the paper is. The printer and I bonded pretty closely during this envelope printing session.I haven`t tested the fax capabilities of this machine as I don`t have a fax line in my home. I look forward to this machine lasting me quite a while as I can tell it is built well. My husband is an IT professional who usually handles all computer-related things for me and I found this printer was very easy for me to take care of without assistance.

Printer was a bit harder to set up than my old inkjet, but it is quieter and a LOT faster. Print quality is good, but text is not as dark as it was with old printer -(I need to study manual? f.y.i. .... colored images/text/backgrounds are MUCH faster than with inkjet.

Perfect printer for your small business
I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. The Brother All-In-One Printer MFC-3710CW is the perfect printer for your small business. It prints up to 19 pages per minute of crisp, high-quality copies. This is a sturdy, well-made commercial printer that will support most small businesses. Set-up of this printer couldn`t be easier. It comes with a quick-start guide and software installation CD. The software is also available for download from the Brother website for those computers (like mine) that has no CD drive. This printer is a hefty 49 pounds and would be best lifted by two people. It also has a larger footprint than your standard home printer, coming in at roughly 16" x 18". It came with one black and three color toner cartridges installed (one each: cyan, magenta and yellow). These were easy to remove and reinstall after removing the packing tabs. The toner cartridges are long-lasting and replacement toner is moderately priced.It was a breeze to connect to our wifi and entering the password was effortless on the very responsive touch screen. It requires only a light touch. The letters were large enough to touch without accidentally activating the adjacent letters. I use this printer primarily for printing half-sheet adhesive labels and printing and scanning invoices. It had no issue handling the thickness of the labels and then printing on regular printer paper. Print is clean and clear. Paper tray holds 250 sheets and manual feeder can handle 50 sheets at a time. Scanning documents is also a simple task with this machine. If I could suggest one improvement, it would be the ability to print front and back internally. Instead, the documents are feed to the outside of the machine and then back in. This technology seems a little archaic but duplex copies are possible which is a plus. Overall, I am pleased with the printer. The construction of the printer and quality of the copies make the printer a great value for the price. I anticipate years of use from this device.

Printer was very easy to set up. I wanted to go with laser to get away from the ink jets since they purge a little and loose a little ink every time you print. This printer take very little time to wake/warm up and print. The thing this printer is missing is the duplexer. To print double sided you have to turn the papers around and put them back in which is a pain.

A fine quality product, but lacks critical feature
I've been using Brother printers for years, and they are among the best in the industry. This product performs well as built, but shouldn't have been built with existing feature set. To sell a multi-function color laser printer at this price level without auto-duplex makes absolutely no sense, from neither a marketing nor manufacturing standpoint. Great printer for our work from home needs
I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. I absolutely love this printer. My wife and I often work from home and need a strong and reliable printer to get all of our presentations in order. We need reliable printing, copying and fax capabilities to stay successful in our careers. Prior to receiving this printer, we had an all-in-one printer that was super difficult to connect to for Wi-Fi printing. With our old printer, we had to email the documents to our desktop, which was hard connected to the printer, before we could print anything. It was such a headache!This brother printer was almost completely ready out of the box. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow and we had this up and running in 7 minutes. My favorite feature is the Wi-Fi connection. Once you are on the same network, it automatically reads the device you are printing from without any extra work. I can now print from my phone, in any room of the house. The time savings I gained with this feature alone is worth the price of the printer.The printing was fast and had no running of colors or unwanted markups. I was actually surprised at how quickly my 10 page report was completed. Moreover, the quality of the printing at the default level was quite impressive. I`m hoping that not having to select a higher resolution on printing jobs will help to increase the life of the toner. When we tried out the copy function, the feed in tray had plenty of capacity for my needs. The menu table for collating options and such was easy to navigate through and was done in just a few quick buttons pressed. My only issue with this product is the size. It is a bit bulky for a compact printer and took up a bit more room than I was anticipating. It`s a fair compromise for the workload we have put through this machine already.Overall, I think this is a great printer that certainly filled a current need for me and my wife in our busy work schedule.

Assembly can be done by one single person without much effort and in a short period of time (about 20-30 minutes). Extremely easy. Two thumbs up!STABILITY: The printer is stable; once assembled the solidity of the materials shows that the device is built to withstand loads of work. While making copies, scanning or sending faxes all the parts of the printer are compact and manageable. Accessing the menu panel is easy. Following instructions for options is clear and concise. PROBLEMS: In reality there are no problems with the printer. The only suggestion would be that you include a USB cable for computers that want to use this option. Another suggestion would be to include capacity for larger paper sizes such as tabloid.

Great Printer
I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. I found the set up of this printer to be very user friendly and quiet easy. I was up and running in a few minutes. I`m using it primarily for general household printing needs. It fits nicely on my side table and doesn`t take up too much room. I am very pleased with the printing function. It is quiet and prints quickly. The color is sharp and vibrant, I`ve printed photos and have found them to be of very good quality. The multi-page function was helpful when printing a booklet for my daughter.The scanning function is just as good. I scanned a photo and the output was just as sharp as the original. I was able to scan directly to my Macbook, and save the images in my photo folder. This all took seconds. This is may favorite function. This will save me lots of time and help keep me organized. The buttons and touch screen on my machine are clear and easy to use. It seems much sturdier that my last printer/scanner. I don`t have a landline or use for it, so I have not utilized the fax function. Overall I`m very impressed with this machine. It has far exceed my needs/expectations.

I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. Once out of the box, I realized this printer was bigger than I expected it to be. But I guess that`s a small price to pay for all of the great features. It is definitely much faster than my previous printer which I love. It was very simple to set up and get it started without having to read a bunch of directions which I don`t like to do. I love the wireless feature because I can easily print from any device in our home (not having to send everything to my home office computer first, The print quality so far has been excellent for documents in color or black & white. My only complaint is that I wish the printer itself came in black as it would be more attractive with my home office decor.

The printer has many great features such as faxing, copying and scanning. All are easy to use. Print quality is exceptional. Had a few slight problems with WIFI setup, but after using the Brother website I was able to complete the process successfully. I would by a Brother printer again.

I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. This printer is a digital laser color printer, scanner, copier, and fax,all in one. It was a breeze to set up following the illustrated enclosed guide and disc. Manuals and other information are available as PDF downloads from Brother`s site. The print quality is excellent, both for pages printed off my computer and through the copier feature, which is what I would expect from a laser printer, producing sharp and clear pages for both words and illustrations (I didn`t try photos. There really isn`t a comparison with inkjet printers, as laser are just better quality and a better value when it comes to the ink/toner cartridges for what they produce. The scanning produced very clear images and copies. Just testing the fax also gave me very clear copies. I didn`t have large volume multi page documents I had to print, so I tested the auto feed by scanning 20 pages, which works perfectly. The papers passed through without jamming, going through crooked or otherwise slowing down the operation.The box states that the starter toner cartridges last for 1000 pages, which seems like a lot of copies for starter cartridges, and the replacement toner cartridges are stated to make between 1300 and 1400 pages, depending on the color. While I`m nowhere near needing replacements, an internet search impressed me that the replacement cartridges are cheaper than I expected. If you go through 18,000 copies (the stated life), you`ll also have to replace the drum unit. Using the various features was easy, and the touchscreen was outright user friendly. I generally have just plugged printers and scanners directly into my computer, but this units heavy weight (64 pound shipping weight, with only the unit, a (big) box, a CD and a few pages and lots of protective styrofoam) and bulky size, leads you to really have to find a space for it. The wireless features made it easy to just put it somewhere, like an out of the way corner, where it isn`t in the way. I tried printing and scanning using Windows 10, and tested a mobile Android device using the NFC feature, and both set up easily, recognizing the devices, and worked well. I also tested scanning something to my Google Drive and faxing it to myself at the work fax, and both also were easy tasks to complete. All in all, I`m very happy with this item, it`s capabilities and operations, it`s ease of use and quality of what it produces. The only drawback is the weight and size, but, that is what`s necessary for the results, and can easily be ignored when you find a place to put it. Recommended.

It Does Just What I Need It To Do
It's very easy to scan, copy and print, and the digital screen instructs the user with simple directions. The printing and copying quality is excellent and the scans are very clear. I'm very happy with my Brother 10CW printer.

Very nice improvements, easy set up
This is a replacement for an older MFC 9440 CN...the cartridges are MUCH smaller, I hope they hold as much toner. The unit is slightly smaller, looks a bit easier to get into if/when that becomes necessary. Easy set up, quite happy...oh, and it's about 1/2 the price I paid for the old one!

I really like my Brothers laser machine. I previously had an inkjet printer and it used so much ink I was always buying cartridges. So I'm happy with the laser not using as much. Love the speed and clearness of the print.

Great tech support, great printer.
I wanted to hook my new printer up to receive input from our two computers through wi-fi. I had to call tech support to get it through the hook up that was beyond my capabilities and they stayed on the phone with me for quite a long time to configure both computers properly. Brother has my loyalty. We use this printer along with another Brother printer in the system for documents, envelopes, Avery labels, copies and scanned items, all with ease.

Brother MFC-L3710CW Review- Mostly reliable
I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. For the most part, I was pleased with this printer. The setup did not take long and the provided CD allowed for quick, painless software installation. All of the normal functionality was available and easy to utilize. There is one major flaw; the paper jams almost every other time I use the printer. It also takes a little longer than expected to get going when I hit print. The combination of those two things makes printing quickly difficult at times. The wireless printing is a great feature and was very easy to set up. The printer feels very sturdy weighing about 55 lb. The quality of prints is about the same as comparable products. The copier did a great job as well.Overall, I was pleased with the product and would probably recommend it to others.

This printer is great for a small home office and it prints great in both color and black and white. One of the best features of this printer is how quickly it starts up and prints even when it is in idle mode. The printer does not take up as much space as I would have expected from a printer with so many features. I was not able to test the fax feature of this product. In the few weeks that I have been using the printer, I have not had one paper jam. Excellent!The product was easy to install right out of the box and very few steps needed to be completed to have the printer up and running.I had the printer printing for me out of the box in less than 10 minutes. I have never used a WiFi printer but this product was extremely easy to set up the wifi and provided easy to follow directions. The WiFi feature is one of my favorites as well because it is extremely easy to set up to your mobile devices and print directly from them. So much easier than having to send something to the computer first to print.The only problem I have had so far was going to the website to download and install the Full Driver & Software Package. I was able to download it but during the install, it would not recognize the printer was all ready connected to the internet. It got stuck at this step and I was unable to complete the install. I was able to have my Mac recognize the printer through the computer printer set up. This enabled me to print from my computer.I had no problems printing from my phone using the Brother iPrint & Scan mobile app.

Pretty decent printer so far.
I can't think of anything negative to say, so far. Easy to set up, works when I want it to work. Tired of clogged print heads. I don't print every day, it's pretty random, so this is a much better solution for me.

I found setup to be fairly simple and quick. Once it was operating the quality was far better than expected and the color seems to be very accurate. Very good photo and .jpg reproduction and the speed of first copy is great. Fastest home/small office printer I have used over many years.

Easy All-in-one Printer
I received this product for free from Brother in exchange for my honest opinion/review of the product. When the printer arrived I was slightly dismayed at the size of the box. I was using a much smaller all-in-one printer which worked fine but had its limitations. With the Brother printer, I just plugged it in and signed into my wifi and was immediately up and running. I don`t read instructions normally unless something goes amiss and with this product I was not disappointed. It quickly was detected as a network printer on all my devices. As a household with two adults, two teenagers and running a two small businesses it is not over stating that I was thrilled. My previous printer I often would have to wait to warm up before printing. This printer runs fast and the print quality and colors are very crisp.. No drivers, no updating, no shenanigans. Being able to detect the printer immediately from iphones, iPads, laptops and desktop is perfect. The size of the printer is about twice the size of the printer was using but it fits discretely in a corner under my home office. I immediately ran to my partner and declared that this is a game changer! (Really, I did!

I like how fast colored pictures print and the ink doesn`t smudge because it`s dry right away. I printed pictures with flowers and the colors turned out really nice and vibrant. I also like that you can print pictures straight from your phone, it makes printing easy. The only concern I have is the longevity of the toners because they are not cheap.

The best feature of this unit is putting envelopes straight thru the unit. When most printers were made with front 180 degree feed I had lot of problems with envelopes always smeared. This problem does not exist with this printer.unit.

Easy Setup
The setup was extremely easy and connecting to our Wi-Fi for wireless was extremely easy as well. However, the instructions to print envelopes caused me a lot of problems. In fact, tech support did not have the correct instructions. Therefore, you need to change them. After numerous failed attempts, both your tech support and me figured out how to print an envelope. In short, just open the back cover without touching anything else and just put the envelope to be printed through the front slot feeder designed to print envelopes. That is all you have to do.

Great printer with a few limitations
I still have a black laser Brother printed that I bought 7.5 years ago and it works like a charm. When the 4th or 5th color printed in that same length of time died, I opted to get this printer. It is super when I use a USB cable to connect it to my Mac. However, Brother printers don't network wireless with 5G which is what I have. I can fax from a piece of paper but not directly from my MAC. These are the two reasons why I am giving it 4 instead of 5 stars

Great printer with one major flaw.
Like others have shared, this printer DOES NOT have auto-duplex PRINTING. A printer of this category should absolutely have auto-duplex printing. Should it have auto-duplex scanning or faxing, no, but for printing, most definitely.

Drum Failed in less than 1 month
Not the first time this has happened with my company's history with Brother printers. My Brand new printer - at 2 weeks started to leave blotches on printed pages, then 1 week later a horrible crunching and knocking sound from printer and streaks all over the printed pages and barely legible. Drum failed at 3 weeks, too expensive to replace, and quite frankly should not have too. Now the hassle to return and find a new one in stock is frustrating. Brother is supposed to be one of the bests.

I purchased this printer a month ago (August 2020 for my home office. My first print for a client that was several pages long was covered in black smudges, I was totally embarrassed as I did not have time to fix the problem before the client arrived. The fix will not be quick according to instructions that I printed (which have black smudges).
The other features are working well so far and setup went very well.

It works!
This is the first laser printer I've owned, and I really like it. The power cord stays in when I dust the printer (an issue with my last printer, a Canon, the print quality is great, and it's really, really quiet. I haven't used it much, but I'm impressed.

NO Duplex printing!
I guess it is my fault for not checking first, but thought by now all office printers had duplex printing. Was disappointed to find it does not. I was also disappointed to find it does not have a way to scan to a thumb drive. Other then that, it prints fine.

I work from home and do very little printing since basically everything is done online. However, I've been a loyal fan of brother products from long time ago and still stands to be true today. Customer Service is always professional and walks me through the steps until my issues are resolved without spending a dime. This is great service to me. I took away a star bc I have the app on my phone with the fax feature but I can't get that to work from uploading a document that's in a cloud based app which my printer is connected to. If I can get this outbound fax feature to work on my mobile app, that would be everything I need. I haven't contacted CS regarding this issue yet, but so far I'm pleased with the use of this product and the quality of printing. As any other inkjet printer it's a little slow but it works great.

Prints quickly once you figure out how to print.
So far it works very well. You seem to have to choose between wifi or direct hook up with your computer. Can't have both. Once we got it going it works great. I would buy it again.

Multipurpose Tray Feed didn't work
The printer arrived in one day, from across the country, and the print resolution was excellent. Beautiful output, even though it couldn't print double-sided. Unfortunately, I had to return this printer because the bypass tray wouldn't reliably catch the 22 lb. paper, and it took several tries for it to work even once. I also found out that the product description on the vendor's website erroneously said that it could handle light card and other mediums. The vendor was excellent, though, and I was able to send it back without any problem.

Only accept original toner
Good machine but does not accept generic toner. Brother toner a way to expensive. Once they are done, I will switch to another brand. I don’t mind paying extra for brand name toner, but this is excessive.

Bad feeling with brother printer
Actually I think this printer is very bad. It’s totally different compared to the previous one I used. First it responds to my Mac very slow when it’s receiving datas. Secondly, when I scan documents, the scanned documents lack fidelity. In my feeling, brother products represent good quality, but this time it is out my surprise and frustration, I’m thinking to buy another brand printer. Will not buy brother product any more in my lifetime.

Brand new unit that squeaks
I have contacted tech support on this unit twice and have not received any meaningful correspondence. This unit has a squeaking noise only while printing. I have done the simple remove everything and dust it off then reinstall and still no change This is a brand new unit and it should not be doing that. I like Brother products, I've always had great service with them. But not this time
