Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ink is specific to printer. The ink dribbled out a bit after getting it ready to put into the printer. And it is impossible to get it off most things! Good ink! You make ink tanks just like it for other printers. Why can't they all be compatible? I bought one that fit, but the printer wouldn't recognize it. Couldn't they be made interchangeable? Not only would it save your company money, it would make it more accessible to your customers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from the cost of Canon ink is unconscionably high I just replaced PGBK XXL ink cartridge. The cost of ink from Canon is higher than taking your coping to a printshop. Canon gives the printers away to rip you off with the high cose of ink that runs out after only a few copies and you can only get the ink from Canon. My color ink runs out when I have the printer set to greyscale and make no color copies.

Most of my printing is of articles downloaded from the web. I finally got a monochrome laser printer that was on sale for $99.00, and use my inkjet printer only for occasional color copying and printing of photographs. Just wish I did this a year or two earlier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Be careful not to change your ink cartridge too early The ink is great, my complaint is with the Pixma printer's low/no ink warning alerts. I was changing my cartridges way too soon and wasting a lot of ink. They need to work on the alerts for this printer.

The 5 photo inks are CMYK plus photo blue, which helps make very natural blue skies. The 6th ink, larger than the others, is Pigment Black, which is used for printing text documents. This is just the right printer for me, and the Pigment Black makes very nice looking, finely detailed prints on plain paper.

Through the years, Canon has sent to me a huge quantity of photo paper that sits in my closet. Why in the world does Canon not offer a price reduction in lieu of unnecessary photo paper. Until 2-3 years ago I was delighted at Canon's policy. Today, I find it an inconvenience. I turned down the free photo paper on my last order from Canon and I feel a bit cheated.

So I thought I’d try Canon.com. Easy, Simple received in 3 days. The worst I can say is I got (FREE two boxes of 10 boxes of 100. 4x6 photo prints. I rarely do prints 4x6 so shared with friends. Would rather they offer you a choice of 4x6 or 8x11. I print my vacation photos on 8x11 then go get document frames when on sale at Hobby Lobby.

We print very little color and there must be only a few drops of colored in ink in each tank. We have never printed a 4 x 6 or any other photo.We are disappointed in the ink usage although the printer works fine.

Some printers we have had in past, the cartridges are all in one and that certainly increases the frequency and expense of cartridges. This was the reason for replacing a different brand printer for a Canon printer. Much less expensive.

You could provide large containers of ink and a method for users to refill the cartridges 2) The ink containers get thrown in the trash - more waste.
