Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nothing better than OEM chargers I have bought "off brand" AC adapters before for our HP laptops and they never last like the HP factory adapters. The quality of the HP adapters are so much better than aftermarket. I learned my lesson by saving a few pennies and buying the off board a couple times but I 've learned my lesson and now only by the HP brand AC adapters for our corporate HP laptops. The biggest problem I have is with my users leaving them in conference rooms or at home and then ask for another one. They aren't as cheep as the off brand adapters but it's worth the cost to get the higher quality adapters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Deceptive product, poor service. Avoid HP website The HP website suggested this as the power supply for my new Envy. It was not. I initiated an exchange and was told that HP did not sell the product I needed. They initiated a return and told me that they would waive their restocking fee and not charge shipping. They did not, and are impossible to reach.

So far, what I like is that it is longer than the original charger. Haven't used it yet, but once I do, I'll update my review.

The original adapter had a two part junction that was bound to break This looks the same but the junction is covered and protected. I can't imagine why HP went so cheap with the original because it must hurt their reputation. I will certainly reconsider buying HP again because of this. JUst raise the price to cover a better adapter to begin with.
