Fine Accessory to the T230 Printer
The HP DesignJet T230 shipped with "starter cartridges." That being said, I anticipate that this cartridge will give comparable performance. It is to HP's credit that the Black 712 has more capacity than the color cartridges since my practice prints principally black line prints with this printer. My former HP DesignJet 111 was conservative in its consumption of ink; thus far it appears the HP DesignJet T230 will follow suit.

The only ink we'll ever buy!
We got a brand new plotter printer and had to get the ink that went with it. We only use HP printing products in our office!

Great Product, never fails!
Although eve gone through a couple of these since we purchased our printer, we print often, in both color and black and white. They both last long and never give us problems. Reliable and prints large quantity.

Return to sender
Never received any of the orders.
Unable to ship to address. No notification. Two hours with customer service. Finally found that packages have been returned to their warehouse. This is not the way things used to work with them. Previously orders were delivered within 3 to 4 days as promised. Things have changed with HP. Very frustrated. Worthless time vampire. Be careful about your shipping preferences. Refund period is future day at least a week out from when you contact them and say that you never received your order. Got off the phone with them and ordered from Amazon and had the materials in three days.

Dependable, high quality, and no warranty issues
I prefer the HP inks for a few reasons: 1) they are the least expensive part of the printing, 2) I have used bargain inks in the past only to find that they lack the vibrance of color, don't last as long, and/or stop working due to a flaw in the compatibility chip in the cartridge, and 3) if I encounter a problem with any cartridge, HP stands behind their products and it is replaced immediately. Lastly, I'm using an HP plotter that I invested a lot of money into. I will not use an off brand ink to save a few bucks when I might actually void my warranty for the plotter. Why would I? Why would you?

About 150 prints
I calculated the coverage of this cartridge. For standard 24x36 architectural drawings, I almost exclusively print just black line drawings. Only about 15% of the prints had colour. I printed about 150 D size prints.
