Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spacious, great colors and solid stand Great monitor that doesn't strain eyes when using for hours on end for work or entertainment. The stand is solid base that will not easily tip over that gives you different angles to play with; as well as adjustable height and rotation. The colors are great and that extra space really helps with applications that regularly needs to scroll down.

The footprint of the base is large but low and flat which makes it feel like it's a part of the desk. Lots of room to place items like a QI charger on the base. The base is wide and sturdy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Christmas present for oneself. For over eight months, I have waited to purchase an external monitor for my Mac Book Pro (2). This December, after reviewing countless monitors and sweating over details and specifications, I chose the HP EliteDisplay E243u 24 inch monitor. I can't be more happy! The monitor provides color and resolution that nearly replicates the retina display of the Mac Book Pro. The monitor's base is solid and provides functionality to tilt and rotate the screen. The 24 inch is perfect for my application clearly displaying color charts, tables, graphs and graphics. I have also used the monitor to watch Netflix movies! The monitor has a menu button at the bottom of the screen to adjusts for contrast, color, brightness and a number of other screen functionalities.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice modern design with crisp colors Just got the E243i monitor a few days ago and I'm loving it! It's a beautiful modern design. The colors displayed are crisp and I love that I can reduce the blue light to reduce eye strain. Only negative is the light bleed - seems to be worse than other IPS monitors I have. Overall a great monitor, so I will buy another one to replace an old 24-inch monitor I've had for a couple of years now.

I went thru many techs then supervisors to purchase and exchange for the correct monitor. I had to pay more because the sales people did not know what ports the new desk top had. I was very disappointed in HP. I pay for a monthly service with HP and after many calls they realize the monitor and desk top were not capable. I loss three weeks of work and had to pay more for the second monitor for their mistake

The picture quality is outstanding and can be changed to fit the needs of the user. The only thing missing on this monitor is the built on speakers which to me would put this monitor way above others of this size

The USB is a nice feature but I forget it there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great with my HP Docking Station Working from home with 2 screens attached to my docking station - one an HP Elite 223 and the other an old other-brand screen from an old desk top. The other-brand worked okay, but the colors aren't as true nor is as kind to my eyes. So, bought an Elite 243. Arrived in good time, it was extremely well packaged and the monitor was easy to set up with every connection you could ever want. The instructions for easy set up are on the screen as a protector. Also includes a CD if you need drivers, but that wasn't necessary for my system. The screen adjustments (blue light, reading, night etc.) are by buttons at the bottom edge of the screen and I got it adjusted to my tastes and needs quickly (I work with lots of spreadsheets, drawings, and PowerPoint presentations). The slide for adjusting the height works smoothly and the pass-thru for the cables is appreciated,

The clarity on this monitor is superb, I work all day with no or little eye fatigue. My home work station is now better than my work station at the office. I highly recommend this monitor.

When I began working from home my personal PC monitor was pale in comparison. So I purchased the same monitor for personal use that my company bought. Now all 3 monitors are clear, sharp and of equal brightness, with clear displays on all screens.

Since I don't like straining my neck, I like that the height and viewing angle are adjustable. The stand is well balanced so the height adjustment is simple. Looks nice too.

The quality, especially over the display port, is exceptional and has really eased eye strain for our employees. Additionally the anti-glare matte display neutralizes the negative effects of our overhead fluorescent lighting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not Good I purchased an HP Z Workstation at the same time with the E243i Monitor . When I received them there was no cable that was furnished to properly connect the Monitor to the Workstation. What was provided with the Monitor was a VGA and HDMI cable. It took me over a week to determine that was needed was a Mini-DMI to HDMI connector to make the Monitor properly function with the Workstation. Since I ordered the two components at the same time, don't you think that HP would have furnished the proper cable with the Monitor to connect the two components (or visa-versa). Or Maybe it was my fault for not thinking outside of the BOX!!! Other than the cable issue the Monitor is fantastic once I got it properly connected.

Much better features and picture.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice monitor, but inconsistent quality I bought one of these monitors about a year ago and it is extremely solid with great image quality and color that matches my older monitor. I then bought a second one this month and I'm very disappointed in the quality. The base has been changed so the pivot part is now an open C section rather than a closed tube. The monitor jiggles all around just from my typing which is very distracting and makes it feel very low quality. The color on the new monitor is also much warmer with whites on the same interfaces showing up with a yellow tint.
