We had used HP printers many times and its alway has been a good quality printer from the get go. It prints fast and its faster printer than Xerox.

poor printer for graphic or technical work
Printer does not print 1:1 (image shrinks in the printing processes).
When printing on 11x17 paper the image output prints 1/8" smaller then orginal image.
Not a good printer for graphic design or technical work where correct size is important.

Replacement printer
We bought this to replace our old HP (lasted 7-8 years in a dirty environment), and this was the updated version of it. It looks quite nice! It prints well and neatly, haven't had any troubles.

Incompatible with Mac OS 10.6.8
After the tech support person recommended this printer as the solution to my particular problem and being assured that this unit was indeed compatible with my older operating system, I also looked the specs up online. Minimum system requirement for this printer is listed as OS 10.6.8 which I have on two computers and so I made the decision to purchase. After attempting to install and after two long phone sessions with tech support, it was determined that my Mac operating system is not compatible and a return was arranged. Although this is likely a fine printer, I am disappointed that it was not my solution.

So far so good - have not had a problem with printing and what an easy setup. I just need help with setting up postscript for my printer and then we are good to go!

Very happy with this buy. Out of the box there was very little to do and it was plugged in and ready to go to work. It's quiet and fast. The only complaint I have thus far is the setup display only offers a couple of options. I purchased a large extra paper bin and the setup doesn't offer any instructions on setting up paper bin usage. I'm sure it's an option, I've just not stopped to research what could be easily flashing at me - SETUP PAPER BINS. So we continue to refill the one small paper bin. We're still happy!!
