No option to scan to 100 or 150 dpi in ADF
Previously had laserjet M225 and 1536, both machine had an option to scan to either 100 or 150 dpi, this printer can only scan 75, 200 or 300 dpi. Our client has specific requirement when it comes to scanning resolutions and file size.

Two Printers.
I have always used both an inkjet printer and a laser. This purchase was to replace an HP 1100 which was over `5 years old. It needed service and I just replaced it instead. The inkjet was used when colour was important and the laser when it wasn't. The laser is a lot cheaper to print on.

Best one I have tried many. Paper gets caught a little too easily. But easiest to use.

Need instruction manual
No instruction manual included and not that easy to set up. Couldn’t get the network connection to work so had to buy a USB cord to connect

Not a complete stand alone.
There are some settings that cant be used at the printer. The setting are a mix of computer and on screen settings. If you have a computer hooked up you can resize a copy, but not if you don't have the software installed.

Great printer for the price
This printer sits on one person's desk and prints and scans everything necessary. We are replacing our HP 1536dnf MFP's. The scanning broke on all of those at the same time. I contacted HP but since they were out of warranty they wouldn't help. We have over 30 of the 1536's to replace with these and this M227fdn seems to be a much better quality printer for the price.

Good - But Does Not Network Scan
This is a good product but be aware that the fdn model does not have network scanning capability.

All in one at a good price
It's a nice all in one printer with the three basic functionalities that one needs. Scan, Print and copy. I am not a fan of the color, but that is something I can live with.
