Mini DP to HDMI adapter = only up to HD (1080)
I tested this adapter cable on my Lenovo P24q-10 monitor and noticed that this adapter cable only supports the video signal up to 1920 x 1080 (HD) resolution even though the monitor supports 2560 x 1440 (QHD). The HDMI cable has been tested to support 2560 x 1440 (QHD) on the same monitor when connected to a Lenovo T14 ThinkPad.
On the Lenovo Thinkstation P520 side, using a Mini Display Port to Display Port cable works at the QHD resolution on the same monitor (so I know its not that the PC's GPU nor the HDMI cable that's limiting the resolution).
I read this is a common limitation among Mini Display Port to HDMI adapters. Other than the resolution limitation, this adapter seems to work fine.

took 5 weeks to get it. bought a better one on amazon and had it in 2 days. customer service was terrible, told them to cancel it and they did not.
