I like that it stands on its own and that it can fit all my essentials regarding my laptop and its accessories. I do wish the zipper tags were metal instead of plastic and that the zippers themselves were more robust, but other than that, I picture this serving me well for a long time. Additionally, it is a rather slick looking backpack.

It has plenty of storage for college ruled notebook, pens, laptop, folder. There is a velcro loop for headphone. If you can get the backpack on sale good for you. I was plaining on a Legion laptop but got a different brand and it worked for my budget. Lenovo is a good brand. I bought this for $100.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great except for the front zipper... The backpack looks great! All the pockets are thoughtfully designed and the padding is nice and thick in all the right places. The deal breaker is the zipper around the front shell plate. It not sewn with enough clearance around the shell and after opening the pocket a few times it will begin to catch, then it starts ripping the zipper's fabric. Lastly, the zipper's seam will fail completely and the front pocket won't close. I thought I got a bad example, so I tried to exchange via customer service, but the backpack is out of stock so I can only return it. I am waiting to see if it comes back in stock before my return window closes. Processing a return for a business expense that has already been reimbursed is a pain all for a simple laptop bag.

I can't speak to the water repelling feature yet. The compartments are plentiful. I am able to fit my laptop, school books, and other study materials in the various compartments. There's plenty of padding inside to protect my electronics from potential fall damage. The straps are well padded, which makes my long walks around campus pleasant. I highly recommend this backpack!

There is room for a wireless headphone. My son likes it. One negative thing about this backpack is that the bottom of the backpack does not have any reinforcement and is scratched easily on rough floor.

When shopping around for my new Lenovo Yoga i7, I wanted to find something that was comfortable but not too big, compact but not cramped for other things I might need to bring along for the ride. When I found this hard-shell Legion 17", I immediately knew it was the one. When I got the package and opened it, I was grinning ear to ear with every zipper that was zipped and unzipped. I chuckled with every new pocket or crevice that was found. I had enough space for 4-20,000mAh portable power packs, all 100w capable, and two writing pens and that was just the first pocket out the 3.5 that were available to me. The pocket behind that housed a few more pens including the pen for the Yoga touch screen when in tablet mode, and a myriad of cables and adapters that were inside a pouch of their own that i used to carry them in, and i still had room to spare. Behind that, the main pouch, Housed my Yoga i7 and my Baseus Blade laptop charger. They both fit so well in their own little pouches but still there was room to spare. The 1/2 pocket or the "secret storage" pouch, which sits in the small lower part of your back when wearing the backpack, housed my Chanel Blue cologne and an emergency multi-tool. Everything i felt needed was housed snugly inside this unassuming but very capable backpack. I was and still am completely happy with my purchase and I will but another one again when they go on sale...just to have a backup as I will be using it daily and don't want to be without it, if something unpleasant were to happen to it, by my own hands or otherwise.

Currently in bag - Legion 7i, Charging brick and cable, Mouse, Mouse pad, Headphones, USB Charger Hub and extra cables for various devices. The Protection - As you can tell from the first picture it hasn’t been babied, yet has kept everything safe. The backpack provides excellent protection. I actually put the back pack on the bed with everything in it and when I got on the bed (more like jumped) the backpack fell off. Luckily the legion backpack did its job.

Perhaps I ignored the overall title of this item while purchasing it but that mistake nonewithstanding, it is an apt description for the quality and overall solid build of this backpack. The item is armored, indeed. The backpack is well constructed and made with excellent materials and quality in mind. It's got plenty of room as well as compartments to store your computer and all its peripherals. Perfect for being constantly on the move, the backpack Is well suited for on the go computing. It will protect your investment in a stylish and attractive way. The mobility options and carrying methods for traveling around with this backpack are comfortable and usable. The protruding front side can get in the way and also the fact that is it rigid makes it difficult to manage when traveling. For protection, I will score it 10, ease of use I will score it 3. The space inside is actually quite small compared to other bags.

Laptop area seems well protected and I like the "armored" areas, which should provide extra durability. Recently received, so I don't have long-term usage to report on. However, based on what I see, I would recommend at this point. Bought for use with Legion 5i Pro Gen 7.

The hide away water bottle pocket on the side is a really nice touch as well. It has extra thick padding in the laptop sleeve and then the other compartments are spacious (especially the middle compartment) with plenty of room for charging cables/headsets etc... Moreover, the backpack's bottom is designed in such a way to not really compress easily which is nice when transporting expensive components in that middle sleeve and the laptop sleeve.

I am using this as a school backpack with it fitting just what I need, the power brick fits into the tablet spot nice, the inside is big enough to fit some smaller binders and notebooks, while the front armor part holds my keys and everything else that's small.

When you have it on, the hard shell is on the side facing out iand the compartment with the layer of foam is on the side closest to your back. For me, it accomodates my charging cords, mouse, 2 college books, folders, spiral notebook, and misc., etc. It has a side compartment that unzips to pull out a mesh water bottle holder, multiple pouches for non-laptop items. The rubberized handle at the top makes it easy to pick up/set down. It's not heavy, but there are lighter backpacks with less protection. This was a good choice for me on campus and doing field work in a professional setting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice, large bag that works well Without a doubt this is a really nice backpack. It has a ton of space and lots of internal pockets to make organization easy. The straps are comfortable and it generally fits me well. If you are looking for a mostly professional looking bag that won't break the bank this will fit the bill (if you wait for a sale. For the past few weeks I have had 2 laptops, chargers, mice, a tablet, some notepads, phone, general chargers, and books all stuffed in it without much issue. Everything does get pretty tight in the middle but that is to be expected with so much gear. Now for why I give it 4 stars: 1. The middle pocket is very deep and appears to be designed to hold a lot but, when overfilled, can make the front zipper and pocket difficult to manage. I have felt like I needed a little too much force to make the front armored pocket close. 2. The water bottle holder is pretty small. Maybe the next iteration can have a larger collar with a pull string to tighten it around the bottle. 3. The bottom and front-bottom "armor" section appears to be VERY prone to scratches and discoloration. Mine also came with a blemish that appears to be an imperfection in the foam. 4. It always appears to be front heavy, no matter what I have in it. Overall it is a good bag that serves its purpose well for me. Not much that I could see would improve it unless they beefed up the straps.

It fits my 17 inch legion laptop perfectly along with my additional keyboard and mouse, headset, my tablet, and a few other accessories as well. It feels great when you wear it, very very comfortable. Your belongings are well protected with the padding of the backpack. It has extra compartments if you have anything else you want to place in it.

I wish the back was a little more firm like the part that goes against your back but is still pretty firm and gives a lot of cushion between the laptop and your back. Of course there's a lot of protection on the front and side of the backpack as well. No complaints here I just got it but I wish the zippers were a little more heavy duty but no complaints because I haven't had any issues.

I turn out to love the actual product. The backpack feels even lightweight with my 17" Legion 5 and gear in it. Soft and comfortable on the shoulders and back. Comfortable center of gravity; I don't feel like being dragged down by the backpack. What looks like a hard shell, is a thicker fabric with an internal plastic shield that partially covers the front; leaving the sides able to shrink and expand with the content inside the backpack. And despite of the hard front, the entire backpack looks inconspicuous in a stylish matt black, just how I like it.

I bought the 15.6 legion laptop, and this one holds up to the 17 inch laptop, and I have to say, it was well worth it. The backpack is comfortable to wear, and even though it can't hold a crazy amount of textbooks, it's great for taking a few books and the laptop to a coffee shop or something like that.

My only quibble is the use of the word “armored” lead me to believe the “armored” part would actually be hard like the word armored would imply. It’s not, it’s more like a thick padding. I’m sure it offers more protection than the non armored backpacks. Other than that minor complaint, I think it’s great.

Obviously they could do double duty, if you're just toting around your laptop and charger, you could use the open middle compartment for clothes or paperwork or whatever. The only weird thing is the water bottle holder on the side. I think they were going for a full sleek look by hiding it when not in use, but in practice it just makes it less stabile. Not taking off a star because most people won't care. I love this thing. I would get a 2nd one for my work laptop/gear but I'd honestly forget which one is which and that would be a catastrophe. Maybe if they release a limited edition color, like Halo theme or something.

I haven't really carried it much but it does keep my stuff organized. Only sometimes does the front "shell" give me issues when zipping the very front pocket, but then I adjust whatever is causing the issues and it closes normally.

I use it for my Razerblade 17 and it works great, there is even some wiggle room in the massive laptop compartment. I can see where the design could allow for extra wear on the corners of the zipper where the bends of the backpack are but no snagging for me so far. Or any trouble at all, but I am playing it safe… Otherwise, the backpack is good. It’s a stiffer reinforced(with plastic, I guess? fabric on one side with plenty of cushion for me to consider my Legion 17.3 inch to be safe and travel ready now. It seems like a good option, sleek yet fits larger laptops.

I can actually fit my mouse, power supply, and lots of extras without worrying about anything getting damaged, especially not my laptop, as it sits well-protected in its “armored” pocket. The hideaway drink holder on the side is a very nice touch. I can’t think of a single reason to not recommend this bag, honestly.

(Poor quality components) I've had this pack a week and the outer compartment's zippers are completely snagged on material buildup on the two top corners, leaving it gaping open about 8'' to 10''. I can tell I will end up making the snag worse or possibly breaking the zipper if i were to try much harder to force it. The support platform is essentially useless for accessories as far a as can tell (requires product selection and excludes product from selectable options. I posted a thread concerning the issue on the accessories forum and promptly got a reply from a rep informing me the zipper must just need to be 'broken in'.. There are more reviews on here mentioning the same problem as well so it seems to be a product-wide issue.

That said, I'm very impressed with the design of this backpack. I was a little concerned with it being for a 17" laptop and really still am. I have the 2021 Legion 7i which is listed as a 16", but is smaller than my old MSI Dominator 15.6" in almost every dimension. I wish that the laptop compartment of this bag had straps to secure the laptop in place, but there is plenty of padding to keep it safe. The only way I can think of that would allow damage to the laptop if the bag were dropped is if it is dropped completely upside down. For that reason I continued to lay a thin mouse pad over the top of the laptop when it is in this bag. Plenty of pouches, cubbies, and other places to secure your gear in this backpack. I also love the hideaway bottle holder.

It gives me peace of mind knowing that I have the extra protection in case I were to drop the bag - or someone else was to be careless with it, such as someone putting luggage on an airplane, which is how one of my laptops broke.

The bag doesn't hold as much as other general use backpacks, but it does have many compartments. You're able to carry your laptop, headphones, tablet, phone, wires, and accessories like your mouse and pens in specified compartments. It even has a mesh water bottle holder that can be stowed away!

I have only used this backpack one time and other then that it sits in the closet, that being said the fabric connecting the zippers is ripping already. Cant get the zipper open or closed anymore. I like the layout of the backpack and the protection it provides, but the quality and build needs a lot more work if they are going to be charging $70+ dollars for this. My opinion is, Its around a $30 dollar backpack. Going to contact support and see if the limited 1 year warranty will replace it.

The only issue I've encountered thus far is that the armored "shell" tends to bend and buckle depending on how you organize the frontmost pocket.

Was outside in rain longer than I'd like and the backpack seemed to do the trick in protecting my laptop from water. Time will tell how well it holds up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Zippers Break and Inconsistent Sizing We have two of these. One the zippers broke, and the other was found to have much smaller pockets due to how the zippers were sewn. The one with the broken zippers worked well and was a good size for our Lenovo Legion 7i 15" while it lasted, but we had to be extremely careful to ensure the zipper stayed zipped. It would often just unzip on its own. It looks like the issue is the zipper was not even causing us to force the zipper closed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING - Best backpack I’ve owned! I bought this a year ago because I needed a bigger backpack to fit my super thick 17” laptop in (Predator helios 300). SPACE: Not only did this backpack fit the laptop but it has some extra space and VERY good protection. There is a sort of stretchy part at the bottom insuring the laptop doesn’t hit the ground and there is a bubble wrap texture foam around the compartment. The same compartment also has a smaller pouch that can easily fit my galaxy tab s8 at the same time as the laptop. Even after that all that I can still fit multiple folders and notebooks as well as a textbook and 20oz water bottle with ease (in the compartment itself). The awesome part is that it still doesn’t feel like a big backpack and is very comfortable (although it obviously gets heavy with all that in it). RELIABILITY In terms of reliability I have had zero issues with zippers or rips or anything at all other than a separation pouch in the main compartment getting slightly stretched out after using it to hold a textbook. The semi-hard casing can get a little dirty and scuffed but just rubbing it with some water got rid of all of that. OTHER As a gamer the extra storage like the headphone strap to hang headphones on or the mouse holder are very nice to have especially for traveling. Now for something I don’t like about this backpack, the water bottle holder is awesome since it can be zipped making the side flat, however, it is very flimsy as it is only held at one side and this makes it swing around a lot and very difficult to put the bottle in. It works OK but I ended up just putting the bottle in the actual compartment itself as there is ample space. Overall I would highly recommend this backpack, and if you need space for a big laptop and don’t mind a flimsy water bottle holder then get it. In my opinion this is better than anything else at the price point and even beats $100+ backpacks I’ve tried.

So far this has been able to handle everything I have given it. I haul around my Legion Pro as well as my work laptop - your standard work issue 13" laptop - and chargers for both as well as mouse and various things - notebook, pens, cellphone, etc... Handles with ease even though nice and heavy due to the pile of things I insist on carrying around... CLean look, nice padding where it is needed for the laptops. One improvement area - a little more structural support on bottom so is more stable when sitting on floor without tipping over, and improve the padding on the straps and back-padding to more dense foam - this doesn't seem to be overly robust - shall see how it holds up over in future.

(Keep it flat) I like the solididy of the bags bottom and front face however the (hard) front bends in odd ways with a few cords and pill bottles near the bottom where it bulges out around the zipper. You may need to buy an additional case for a mouse or headphones if small enough. I'd suggest a good pair of wear ear buds. There is room for a 17 inch laptop and my 16 fits nicely. They have designated areas for a tablet, phone, and headphones. I'm getting a case t ok ensure my mouse stays intact but with a little sorting you can get away without the mouse case. It has nice spaces cushions for your back and a convenient handle attached to the shoulder straps. It feels well made however I'd need more use to be sure.

I wish that the sides and base had slightly more padding, but the overall frame is certinaly more rigid than a standard bag and the front panel is solid. From a design perspective, the drink holder folds up into it's own compartment when not in use, which gives the pack a sleek look. I also appreciate the sternum strap, since I travel a lot and it helps disperse the weight while I'm walking around cities or running through airports.

I can fit a 15" laptop inside of a case, a laptop fan pad, a mouse, a PS4 controller, headphones, tons of cords, with tons of room left. The "armored" front is a soft plastic that doesn't seem to be very strong, but still gets the job done. The very front pocket has good room, but does not open wide making it difficult to store and remove stuff. I LOVE how the main pocket has zippers going to the very bottom of the bag, super helpful. Lastly, the cup holder can be zipped away in it's own pocket and although the holder itself seems durable, the connection to the bag seems like it would year with a little bit of force, adding to that is the fact that the holder is quite small and may not fit large tumblers, thermoses, etc. I got my practically free using points which make me probably happier with it, but I would not pay $100 for this bag. Get the mk 1 for $40 elsewhere or wait for a sale.

Seems sturdy, with a more rigid shell on the front, 3 different zippered full-size slots (for laptop, tablet, and all accessories, and multiple pockets. It can be hard to find a backpack that truly accommodates a 17" laptop, so I appreciate that this one really does. My prior 17" backpack was a SwissGear Pegasus that has lasted through 10 years of weekly airline travel, both domestically and overseas. I still have it, and still use it, but it is very bulky. I needed a second 17" backpack, and thought I would see if the Lenovo version was a little more streamlined for more local use. It is flatter, which is what I wanted, so we will see how well it hold up, over time.

The foam for the laptop pocket gives me peace of mind that my laptop will be safe. The main pocket has lots of room for many general purpose items like clothes or other large items. The front pocket has plenty of little pockets to put your various smaller items like your mouse, any batteries or anything like that. The outside is durable and looks great as well. This is an awesome all around good backpack!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Backpack, Form and Function This is a great backpack. Plenty of space to fit a 17" laptop. The pocket deisgn and layout are intuitive and make sense, providing good separation for your equipment. I feel confident in the level of protection it brings in all compartments. Specific places for the laptop, keyboard, headphones and my mouse is really nice. 2 especially smart designs I noticed and really appreciate. 1 - the laptop pocket is not only very well protected with the cushion and hard shell, but it also is suspended off the bottom a bit. Enough to not worry about the edge of a laptop hitting the ground or even the protected bottom when set down or dropped a little. And 2 - the bottom of the pack is angled just slightly so when it's set down, it consistently orients or leans backward just a little. Sometimes certain packs lean or fall one of multiple directions depending on what's inside and how it's loaded up. I like the predictability and consistency of this Lenovo Backpack. Plus it looks great! One point of note on the internal size. The main compartment doesn't hold as much as I would have thought. Probably a trade off coming from the sturdy and rigid walls. For me, I use it for a mobile office, normally consisting of the laptop, a leather zip up notebook, a mouse in a case, a small microphone and pens and pencils. All that fits great. But when I add another portfolio or stack of papers to get through it gets a little tight.

I already have a laptop pouch but needed something bigger - this thing can fit my Legion, surface pro 6, full gaming headset(corsair hs60 wired, nintendo switch and all the chargers with space for a change of clothes/some toiletries. It’s too big for daily commutes but excellent for travel. For the money, would get again in a heartbeat.

It is designed in a way that it can hold full size keyboard as well, so you can take your favorite keyboard with you wherever you go. It also has enough space for other accessories and equipment.

I was the second option of those two choices so I was hoping to get a computer case but wasn't able to find one. Luckily I stumbled across this item while I was shopping for my setup. When the bag arrived I was happy to see it's quality was amazing. It has enough space to comfortably fit your laptop and all of the additional parts. In addition the texture of the front is a nice sleek look and feel. I'm happy with my purchase and hope this review helps you consider it!

Genuinely love the backpack: the laptop compartment can hold my 17' legion laptop and it's more than extra padded mso I know it won't take any damage. The water bottle pocket is one that you can hide, which I also appreciate. And the front is armored, which prevents it from getting dented inside or something like that.

Was great for a quick trip on a plane I had to take. The ability to hide the bottle holder behind a zipper is a huge plus as well.

Did some research and functionalty of backpack sounded great and laptop fits but now the seams at the side has bursted open. Also, it's not a very travel-friendly backpack. It's quite large on me (5'1" petite female)

It's not really a hardshell, rather a thin plastic cover on most of the outside layer. Overall a good backpack for laptop transport.

It has spots for all of my cords, chargers, mouse, etc. I was able to take it through the airport as a personal item as it fits in their bag checker perfectly which was awesome. Feels sturdy. Just the right size for all laptop parts and a couple other small things (jacket, etc.)

They all just seemed like normal backpacks and not worth the investment. The padding on this one is plenty thick and the construction is like a turtle shell. I am able to place my Lenovo 7i Pro, its charger, the lapdesk cooling unit I bought and several other items inside. All of that together is heavy but this backpack distributes it well... especially since I have a bad back. The pack feels secure and, if I were not of a larger persuasion, the extra middle buckle for stability would also be great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Attractive backpack but could be roomier... This is a wonderful laptop bag for my 16" Lenovo gaming laptop. It carries the laptop and power supply well, but it needs to be a bit 'deeper' front to back. When you cram in the laptop, power supply, a wireless mouse, and a tablet, it doesn't leave much room for many other things that might be a big bulkier themselves.A bag like this is going to be my everyday bag. I take it to work, on trips, etc. I would like to see a larger front compartment. To be fair, I do carry around my 15" work laptop as well as an extra 14" screen. It *DOES* hold all of it, just a little more snugly than I'd like. Electronics should have a little extra room to help avoid smashing everything together and risk breaking screens. The zippers are strong, but when new they tend to be very stiff and get caught a lot (kind of worth it for the water resistance, though). I absolutely love the 'softshell' front part of the case. I'm a bit of a branding snob, so I was glad to see they had an attractive looking backpack for my new laptop. The overall design is appealing. It reminds me of something you'd see someone use as a pack from a sci-fi show like Star Trek. The price is a little steep for the size (I paid about $40 less for a Wenger that has more room), but I guess you're paying for the branding on it.

It has lots of storage and i feel better knowing my laptop has some extra protection with the padding. I got it on sale, so for the sale price its good otherwise I wouldnt get it for full price. My main complaint is that "armored" part sucks as the zipper for the comparment is always stuck and its a pain to open and close. I feel like the zipper will break after a few more uses
