Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullI am BLOWN AWAY! Upon receiving this unit, I instantly noticed haw large the unit was compared to my 1080p projector. That's never been an issue for me before so I got to connecting my mount, hoisted this bad boy up, turned on a 1080p source and BAM, the difference was instantly noticeable. The brightness, the colors, the detail, all pooped out at me.....and my source was the same as I'd always used. Lucky for me I had just received my 4K Roku Premiere Plus to really test it out. I started up House of Cards and WHOA, the clarity was amazing!

Everything with the projector is very straight forward and I'm now looking forward to playing Xbox One X (the reason I upgraded to 4K on this bad boy. Whether you're a gamer or not, this bad boy will make any video source you put through it look better. I recommend this product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullCrystal clear resolution, incredible contrast and eye popping color! My 3rd Optoma, started 720p, then 1080p, now 4k and everytime we upgrade my wife doesn't think it will be that much better and even she can't believe how each jump just keeps getting Better! Ill put this projector paired with a good screen against all flat panels.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullI upgraded to this projector from an Epson that costs four times as much. I actually upgraded to the Optoma and sold my Epson for far more than this projector and I haven't regretted it for a second. This is a true breakthrough in technology at a reasonable price. To get a 4K DLP projector prior to this was a minimum $8,000 proposition and this projector produces a comparable image for a small fraction of the cost! Image is bright and beautiful. Admittedly, blacks could be deeper but when you consider the price, this is a no brainer purchase. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really Excellent Projector, It Will Not DisappointMy wife bought this as a gift for me at Christmas and I couldn't be happier with it. The picture quality is as good as any 4K flat panel. I'm projecting it on a 135" gray screen and watching 4K content is just breathtaking.Last night we watched Aquaman in 4K and it absolutely shows off everything the projector can do.Now learn from some of my mistakes. Whatever you do, DO NOT skimp on cables (even though they state 4K support). If you're going to need to go past even 6 ft of HDMI cable, I strongly suggest, no wait, I'm telling you to get a HDMI fiber cable. This is especially true if you're using Apple 4K TV which I am. I bought a really nice high-speed 4K cable that the 4K Blu-ray is fine with but not so much the APTV4K. Save yourself the time and frustration and get something like a Ruipro HDMI fiber.Overall, it's a terrific projector, I absolutely love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullI absolutely love this projector. It's fantastic for UHD movies, the colors really pop and the detail is mind blowing. 4k doesn't really matter in TV's since the screen size is so small. But it has a huge impact when you're viewing a 130 inch screen!

It's awesome for games also. The input lag is super low, and is actually better than my LED TV. It's an absolute blast playing Destiny and Gears of War. This is also fully HDR compatible with both PS4 and XB1, unlike the Epson 5040ub.

In closing, this projector is an amazing value for the price it's at. One of the best values in the market.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OverheatsI've had my projector for about 6 months. Now it's shut down 2 times today. I thought I lost power since it's on a surge protector. Second time I decided to see if it was overheating. Read that you should clean and replace the filter every 3 months. Well there is a place for a filter. But there isn't one in it. So now the projector has dust in it. I void the warranty if I open it to clean it. So thanks optoma for being cheap. What is the most common cause of dust? People maybe.
