The Plugable UD-6950PDH is a USB-C docking station designed for Mac users and business customers who need a more capable, organized workspace with multiple displays, reliable connectivity, and simplified cable management. Whether used in a traditional office, home office, or hybrid work environment, this MacBook dock helps create a more productive desk setup through a single connection.
For professionals looking for a MacBook docking station dual monitor solution, the UD-6950PDH helps overcome the native display limitations of some Macs. M1, M2, M3, M4, and M5 MacBooks typically support only one external monitor natively. Built for MacBook Neo, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro, this DisplayLink docking station enables 2 independent 4K 60Hz external displays in extended mode, not mirroring, so each screen can show different content. You can also use your MacBook display with 2 external monitors for a true 3-screen productivity setup ideal for spreadsheets, presentations, documents, and other everyday business applications.
Beyond display expansion, the UD-6950PDH supports a cleaner and more standardized workstation. With 14 ports and up to 100W charging, this USB-C docking station adds display connectivity, power, Ethernet, card readers, audio, and USB ports for common office accessories, helping reduce desk clutter and replace multiple adapters. Setup is straightforward, but driver installation is required. To enable display functionality on Mac, install the free DisplayLink Manager application. Setup note for Mac: macOS may request a one-time permission so the software can generate video to connected monitors. The application does not record or store screen content.
Important: HDCP-protected content from services like Netflix and Disney+ may appear as a black screen on external monitors when the dock is connected. The UD-6950PDH is best suited for office productivity and hybrid work, not streaming, high-refresh gaming, or graphics-intensive workflows.
