The CommScope Ruckus ICX 8100-24 is a stackable rack-mountable Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for enterprise access and aggregation environments where dependable connectivity and advanced security are required. It delivers 24 Gigabit RJ-45 ports plus four 10 Gigabit SFP+ uplinks to support high-density access and efficient uplink aggregation, with a switching capacity of 128 Gbps and forwarding capacity of 96 Mpps to handle mixed traffic loads. The fanless, 1 RU design reduces acoustic impact in quiet spaces while integrated QoS, extensive VLAN support, and jumbo frame capability help maintain predictable application performance for voice, video, and data.
Built-in management and security features simplify deployment and administration, including SSH-2, RADIUS, TACACS/TACACS+, RADSEC, TPM, and support for 802.1x and MAC-based authentication, while features such as DHCP snooping, Dynamic ARP Inspection, and DoS protection help protect network integrity. The switch supports stacking of up to four units, a large MAC address table, comprehensive multicast and spanning tree protocols, and an MTBF suitable for continuous operation, making it suitable for campus, branch, and edge deployments that require reliable, manageable switching with enterprise-grade controls.
