This is a great monitor and would certainly buy again. The crystal clear image in 4K is certainly better than I thought. I'm also not sure about some reviews saving it had a bad angle view, but I bought two of these monitors and I certainly do not have that problem with my setup.

If you're looking for a great monitor at an even better price. Stop looking!
This monitor is top notch. The view is amazing and the hardware feels sturdy. I love the ability to raise/lower and rotate the screen. I use it to hook up my Macbook Pro and the display is beautiful. Worth every penny!

Samsung builds high quality monitors, and the U28E850R is no exception
I've used Samsung monitors in my business for 15 years or more; they work and they are of exceptional quality. I have used them in a number of multiple display configurations.
The U28E850R includes physical buttons on the front for controlling monitor settings; something the similar 590 model does not offer. The 850 can be used as a portrait display since the included stand allows rotating the monitor 90 degrees.
The only complaint I have regarding this specific monitor is the combination of UHD in a 28" monitor - scaling (lower resolution, 125% or greater text size) is absolutely necessary for text/icon visibility, as well as apps that don't internally support scaling. However, full UHD is incredible for viewing images/video. I should also mention that the side-viewing angle for this monitor is not impressive.
