Rated 5 out of 5 by from Docking station to goThis is another great docking station from StarTech.com, proving that they have a dock for every kind of user and application. This is a feature-packed Dock that has everything the big ones have, but is bus-powered and very portable. Solidly built with no wasted space, it is also metal to help keep it cool, as Thunderbolt devices tend to get warm with use. I had no issues connecting this to my Windows-based PC, the drivers loaded automatically and setup took less than a minute. Having a large TV, Network and a USB device connected, I did notice my battery life was affected, which I was expecting, but this is not really a solution for extended use, I see it as a perfect travel companion to set up in a Hotel or Boardroom and connect to fast ethernet and large TVs.I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rock Solid SolutionI needed a rock solid portable dock that would give me a NIC, USB, and HDMI. This is exactly that: a rock solid solution to the dongle problem. I hang two 4K Samsungs off this dock for video and audio production space, and it runs with no hiccups at a quality that is frankly amazing considering the price of this dock. I would recommend it to any serious information worker that needs solid hardware to support their workflows.

It is small and portable with a good weight to it and they put rubber on the underside to help keep the dock in one place.The video resolutions are impressive and the device works effortlessly.Now is it perfect - no....there are some things I just dont get. One is a single usb 3.0 port and one Usb 2.0 port. At this point I would have just expected usb 3.0 ports and finally there is no Thunderbolt 3 port to daisy chain devices. This I would have expected especially since some computers are only coming with a single port.Overall this is great for someone with simple needs, I personally would rather have some of the more robust docks that startech.com makes.I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.

This unit is perfect for high end home use because it outputs to 2x 4K HDMI displays (up to 4096 x 2160p @ 60Hz). The compact design is perfect for the road warrior who is moving to various warehousing environments, utilizing dual monitors. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yes, HDMI 2.0 (4K 60Hz), that is!It simply does what it claims. The HDMI port is HDMI 2.0 and it is delivering 4K @ 60Hz. It is a truly plug-n-use to my Macbook Pro. I am currently using a Samsung TV as a computer monitor. I am a sys. admin and I never play video games. I use a 4K TV, only to have more screen real estate. Before buying this adapter, my TV has ghosting issue since it is not happy w/ 30 Hz. Now, my TV is happy and I am happy. :-)
