This high-performance Thunderbolt 3 adapter lets you add two 4K 60Hz DisplayPort monitors to your Windows or Mac computer through a single Thunderbolt 3 port, or it can be used to connect your Thunderbolt 3 port to a 5K 60Hz display using two DP cables.
The Thunderbolt video adapter is compatible with computer systems that support Thunderbolt 3. Thunderbolt 3 is a protocol that uses the USB-C connector, but your computer system must support Thunderbolt 3 in order for the adapter to function as expected. If you connect the adapter to a USB-C port that does not support Thunderbolt 3, the adapter will not function.

Works well with late 2016 MacBookPro Retina
I mistakenly thought all USB-C to Displayport adapters were the same. I found that the one I had did not work with my Mac. I searched the Web and found this one that specifically states it is for either Mac and Windows machines.
I plugged my two Displayport cables into it and to my two 4K monitors - the USB-C end into one of the four ports on the Mac. It took a few seconds to find everything and then both monitors were recognized at full resolution :-)

Works great with me Dell XPS15
I previously purchased a Dell Thunderbolt for my Dell XPS 15 laptop. It was noisy, then it stopped working after 2 months. Then I switched to StarTech's version of Thunderbolt technology. It works great! Super Quiet! Wish it had more PCI ports for monitors and more USB ports.

Triple Display
This product enabled me to get a triple display going with my usb-c laptop (two monitors and the laptop screen). It was plug n play easy to setup and the image quality is flawless. If you have a modern laptop that doesn’t have any ports other than usb-c/TB3 and you don’t want to drop $400 for a docking station to be able to get more monitors hooked up then this is the perfect product for you. I’ll definitely be using this daily.
