Product Overview

The standby INTERNET350U UPS system provides reliable battery backup and AC power protection against blackouts, brownouts, overvoltages, surges and line noise that can damage valuable electronics or destroy data. The six-outlet 120V battery backup is ideal protection for your home office, media center or commerce components, including computers, routers, printers, NAS drives, HDTVs, Blu-ray players, game consoles, media players, DVRs and audio receivers.

Backup support allows you to work through short power failures and gives you enough time to safely save files and shut down your system in case of a prolonged blackout. Backup time varies according to load, but the INTERNET350U should keep an energy-efficient desktop computer with small LCD monitor powered as long as 13 minutes. During normal operation, incoming utility power keeps the replaceable internal battery fully charged, so backup power will always be available.

Three 5-15R outlets provide battery backup and surge protection for your computer, monitor and other crucial components. The other three 5-15R outlets provide surge suppression only for printers, speakers and other desktop equipment regarded as non-essential during a blackout. Each outlet offers wide spacing to accommodate bulky transformer plugs. A high >98% line mode efficiency rating reduces BTU emissions, energy consumption and, ultimately, your energy costs.

A 316-joule surge suppression rating protects connected components from the harmful effects of power surges. Dual network data line surge suppression jacks protect a wired peripheral from dangerous surges on a single 10/100Base-T or dial-up network connection.

This USB port connects the INTERNET350U to a computer running Tripp Lite's free downloadable PowerAlert software to enable safe unattended file saves and system shutdown in case of a prolonged power failure. USB cable is included. Battery independent restart ensures automatic UPS power-up without user interaction after lengthy power outages, even when batteries are expired and require replacement.

Various electromagnetic and radio sources found in virtually every home and business can cause disruptive interference on the AC line. Known as EMI (electromagnetic interference) and RFI (radio frequency interference), this line noise is a common cause of performance problems and can lead to incremental hardware damage, data corruption and audio/video transmission problems. The INTERNET350U incorporates technology that filters out disruptive line noise so that it won't affect your equipment.

The UPS remains silent in both line and battery backup modes. The alarm sounds only to warn you of a low battery or fault condition. A front-panel green LED indicates operating mode and fault status.

The space-saving ABS housing fits on a desktop, shelf or anywhere else convenient to your workstation or home theater. Keyhole mounting tabs on the rear allow easy wall-mount installation. The five-foot power cord with NEMA 5-15P plug connects to any compatible AC outlet.

Tripp Lite Internet Office 350U is rated4.76 out of5 by34.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Insurance for the BuckPower failures are more frequent with an aging infrastructure built in the 1920's. The line loss plays hell with the electron flow of your valuable electrical/electronic components and this device is cheap insurance and a line conditioner to ensure a smooth flow. I use Tripp- Lite for all of my installations and I do not receive "call backs" from my customers for PSU failure issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small, easy to set up, trustworthyI have purchased 2 of these for our optometric office. One had to be strapped to the base under a retinal camera - and it fit easily. The other went in a corner next to our NAS. Again, lots of space. Set-up was a snap. And, of course, I got the reliability of a TrippLite product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Customer ServiceI had a problem. During a lightening storm, we did not loose electricity to the house, but the TrippLite battery backup turned itself off, and my connected NAS died (totally unresponsive to pressing the power button to turn it on). TrippLite Customer Service was excellent. They were very helpful, clear, and communicative about the assessment and warantee process. Their followup through the process was excellent. I wish the customer service at other companies was great like theirs. Its nice to use good products and know that the company will professionally stand behind them when there is an issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No worries when you have one of these - or more.Power went out briefly while I was on a phone call and taking notes on my computer. Good news: Uninterruptible power supply (UPS) number 1 kept computer running while I saved files; UPS 2 (Tripp Lite) kept wifi and phone (also over the Internet) up and running. No interruption except my hooting and hollering about it working. Finally, an insurance policy I was able to use. Highly recommend having UPS on the rare occasion we get real weather.

So far I've bought 3 of them for various parts of the house to keep small electronics running and they've worked excellent each time they've been needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good ProductI use this in the office, we are in a area prone to lightening strikes, and my office in particular has weird electrical issues that make me nervous to have my PC plugged into the wall directly and this is exactly what I needed for piece of mind and to protect the company's fixed assets. I know it works because I have been able to save my work and power down the PC during a power outage already, and I can hear the surge protection kicking in (it BEEPS loudly) when I use a laser printer (NOT plugged into the surge protector at all, it's plugged into a completely different outlet in my office) which means it is protecting some type of weird electrical surge in the wiring in my office -- Definitely worth the investment by far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Some issuesI have 4 of these through out my restaurant. 3 work perfectly. 1 I had some major issues with. The battery life was not long on it and it died on me, had to be replaced. It was constantly beeping and didn't do it's job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good layout and connectivity.Widely-spaced outlets permit use of large power-blocks. USB is the direction of PC connectivity. Convenient size. Bright LED indicators. Loud beep for getting attention. Adequate run-time for small systems. Non-glare finish. Black color coordinates with other hues. Cord length is generous, but not so long as to pose a risk for tripping. It is designed to be energy-efficient, and, thus, minimize heat generation, which is a key consideration for tightly-closed spaces. Rounded corners of the case help to avoid sharply compressing objects near it, such as cables. The three battery-backed outlets reinforce, that this product is designed for small systems, while the three non-battery-backed outlets protect larger power usage equipment. The On/Off Switch is heavy-duty, with little travel, for reliability. The black on white background lettering provides high contrast. The components are not frozen for the life of the product line, so that improvements can be incorporated into the product, with the evolution of the components. The multi-language Owner's Manual thoroughly informs on the basic operation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good value productMy last UPS died after five years and after doing my homework decided that this ultra compact was my best option. It arrived promptly and was easy to set up and since then has performed well. As I live just outside Orlando which is the world lightning capital I need a UPS that I can rely on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just sits there and runsThe Internet 350U operates quietly and silently in the background. Once you plug in your PC, peripherals, and phone connections, it works reliably in the background. Just be sure to provide plenty of ventilation space around and under the unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compact and reliableWe use this for a very compact mobile recording rig. We don't need a lot of wattage, but we need it to be lightweight and easy to pack. So far this has filled the bill very nicely! Also big kudos to Tripplite tech support, who set us up with this unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works as advertisedWorks just as promised, but I wished it could notify me when I've plugged in more wattage than it can handle--and also when the battery won't hold a charge any longer. I discovered that the hard way when it didn't work during a power outage. Tripp-lite, how about some smart status notifications?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps me from tearing my hair outI live in a rural area, and our power goes out from a few seconds to a few minutes two or three times a week. I have two of these Tripplite UPS units for two desktops. They save me tearing my hair out. When the power goes off, they instantly and seamlessly switch to battery power allowing me to keep working. If the power stays off, they give me enough time to save my work and shut down without losing anything. If I happen to be away from my computers when the power goes off, I use Tripplite's downloadable software set to automatically do a controlled shut-down when battery power gets below 50 percent. I will include a word to the wise: Past experience has taught me not to trust any surge protector or UPS unit to always safely protect a computer through an electrical storm. Sometimes they will, but all you need is the one time they don't and you will have a major headache to deal with. When there is a storm, I always power off and unplug, and I always unplug overnight. It is the only way to ensure complete protection. But as far as getting me through power failures, these units work without a hitch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would purchase the product again if needed.Deployed the 350VA UPS for use powering a DSL modem at a remote radio communications site. The UPS provides secure power for the modem at this site so that it remains "linked" with the balance of the radio system.
