Among the options CA ARCserve Backup offers is the CA ARCserve Backup Tape Library Option. The option includes support for tape RAID libraries. The option supports and provides advanced device and media management for multiple-drive tape libraries. With this option, CA ARCserve Backup can send simultaneous streams of data to each drive to optimize throughput on any multiple-drive tape library.

The option adds tape RAID capabilities to CA ARCserve Backup. All of the standard backup and restore functionality CA ARCserve Backup provides applies to the tape RAID devices that you create using the option.
