Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding protectionI first became acquainted with Otterbox when we flew to Charlot, NC with the founder's son as a seat mate 3 years ago. The following winter, I upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy S5, and purchased my first Otter Box Defender for it. The following fall, I was out on my uncle's ranch, going over a fence, when the phone popped out of the clip and landed on frozen ground, partially in a spot of mud. I proceeded to lose my balance, and fell from the top of the fence, landing directly on top of the phone with both feet and weighing 200lbs. Aside from having to clean off the mud, my phone was 100% protected and experienced no damage whatsoever. It made it a no-brainer to get another defender when my wife decided I needed to go to the dark side and get an iPhone 6s. I only wish that I could find a suitable safe pouch that it would easily fit into because the clip pops off my belt. I've made modifications to a cheap industrial case, but the fit isn't very good. Still, I would recommend this product to anyone leading an active lifestyle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It does protectSecond case purchased only because I switched to larger phone.I ordered the teal color and it is only a month old and dirty already.The small flap opening for the vibrate switch makes it difficult to get finger in to utilize the switch.I can say I have never dropped my phone so cannot comment on the strength but have heard others had no problem if phone was dropped.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Protection - Needs ImprovementThis was my second attempt to buy a case for my iPhone 6. The case is very durable and can take a good beating from either the workplace or from your kids. However, it did have some issues that caused me to give up this case. Here are the pros and cons from my experience.Pros - Great protection! This case is very durable and can take a bit of punishment. If you work with your hands (mechanic/contractor, etc), then this case will serve you well. If you have kid(s) who watch movies on your phone, it can take their abuse as well.Cons - The buttons on the sides were very difficult to push, it takes a bit of strength and hitting the right spot to make them work. Also, because of the bulk of the case, when you are in the "Contacts" app, and you want to select a section by letter (on the right side of the app), you almost need a fine point pen or an edge of a pencil eraser to make contact with the screen. Otherwise, you just "fat finger" the contact name that is close to that letter. This got annoying after a while.All in all, this is a decent case, but because of the "fat finger" issue and the fact that the side buttons were so difficult to push, I had to get rid of the case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this caseSince I received my iphone 6, while waiting for the Lifeproof case I have ordered 10 different cases and sent them all back. When I received the Otterbox defender last week, I was psyched because it's perfect and I don't even know if I need the Lifeproof at this point. However, knowing you own that company gives me confidence that those cases will be perfect too so I may just buy that case for summer use at the beach because it's water proof! But.........this Defender case is great....it's durable, the design is excellent and it makes the phone feel so much sturdier than it is so I am no longer afraid I am going to drop it - but if I did, I know it will be protected. The plastic/rubber combination is a perfect mix where it's not too sticky or slippery. The case fits the phone exactly and I have not had one issue where the fingerprint scan didnt work. If you are used to having no screen protector on your case, it's a different feel but everything works exactly as it should. I am very happy with the case.....and thanks for the fast shipping and excellent customer service. You guys are top notch!!! Have a great holiday.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Caution on the Blaze OrangeI've had nothing but otterbox cases in the past for my iPhone, so I didn't hesitate to buy another since I've never had a broken phone with 3 young children. So while I'm happy with the way the case fits and hoping it does it's job protecting my phone, the blaze orange I bought? It is neon orange. Hunter orange. Glow in the dark orange. The website does not do this color justice. It is ugly, ugly, ugly. UNLESS you like this color - then buy away. Just thought I'd give others a heads up so they weren't so shocked when they open their package. It's a unique combo with the opal purple, to say the least ...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Its OKThe enclosure on the phone is great but I am on my third holster which the other two cracked vertically down the middle.One was replaced under warranty and one was not.If this holster fails,I'm not going to buy another one,I'll choose a different brand product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not happy with purchaseThe Iphone six Defender case is very protective but the screen does not lie flat against the phone making it very difficult to swipe the screen and open apps. The buttons are difficult to push because of the thickness of the covering. The opening for the lightning charging cord is very tight and it is difficult to fit into the charging port on the phone. Very poor design and I would expect better of Otterbox.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Service, Disappointing DesignI am now on my 4th plastic shell for the Defender since September, when I purchased my iphone 6. The screen protector still does not fit - there is a "trampoline" effect when you touch the screen. The "give" or spongy feel makes it difficult to navigate the phone, and sliding your thumb over the screen is almost impossible because of this design flaw. You can actually hear an audible "sticky" sound when you touch the screen. And, at times the screen protector adheres to the phone, leaving "bubbles" on the screen where you need to remove the case and reinstall just to make these bubbles disappear. I loved my Defender for my iphone 4S, and your customer service has been commendable in responding to my multiple warranty claims. I even tried popping out the screen saver as some reviewers suggest, but this defeats the purpose of the Defender - the case is supposed to be ultra-durable and the built-in screen-protector helps to prevent moisture from seeping in to the phone. For the price, I do not want to modify the case, and in the time since iphone 6's release, I expected the design issue to be resolved.
